A short story about how filly Luna came to recognize the beauty of her night and relish in its dark veil rather than hiding from her destiny. Though it is listed as sad due to the promise that Celestia utters to Luna, clearly without knowing what the future holds.

Nice job, it's a really sweet story. :ajsmug:

And I caught your slightly easily noticable reference with the doll. :derpytongue2:

Thank you :pinkiehappy: Im glad it's going over so well. Ive been really really hesitant to open an account here.

Yeah, i had someone on DA tell me the rule of Derpy, but only AFTER i had posted the story. Once you include Derpy in something, everything else becomes moot, lol.

> Tragic irony at its finest.
> I'm supposed to hate stories like this. I really am. Yet I loved this story, dammit.
> Don't think you're gonna get away with that fucking doll thing, Fitz. Goddammit, what the Hell is wrong with you?

>It's not that bad. The irony is only realized later, so it's totally cool at this point. THEN it becomes cruel irony.
>Yeah, you've gotten soft. But who can resist the charm of filly Luna? Nopony! That's who! So suck it up and deal with the fact you can't hate her.
>The doll? Everyone trips on the obvious doll. What a fascinating social experiment this has turned out to be.

3749735 Tragic irony is what it's called when the audience knows something that the characters in a piece of media don't. Like when the audience knew Juliet wasn't really dead, but no one else in the play did. So yes, since that's the reason you've marked the story as sad, it's definitely quite the case of tragic irony.

<Sits back. Puffs on cigar and stares pensively into the swirling smoke rising from the exhale>
Sometimes…<Takes a long drag. The fiery tip illuminating the pained expression on his face from the shadows>…I dream of the day where you just go with what I say. See it for what it is…but <Rubs the burning end of the cigar across the ashtray> my dreams are always snuffed out by you.

3751716 Y'know, that's the second time I've explained the meaning of something to you, followed by you getting all persnickety about it. You sit on a twig or some shit?

You'll also notice from my original comment that I said "cruel irony", not tragic irony.
And even when Im wrong, you know I'll get a stick up my ass about being corrected. I have to keep my image, right or wrong :moustache:

3751901 You and my brother have way too much in common.

Ouch, way to go promise that and then ignore your sister, Tia... :twilightoops:

I bet it was all because of the Bluebloods! It's always their fault! :twilightangry2:
