glad you did. it was never made clear if vinyl was mute. it allows us to write her dialogue with more creative license. that and vinyl talking in MLP isn't necessary

If it helps, the show runners have backed this thinking at SDCC. Vinyl can talk, but she chooses not to in many cases, and let's her music do it for her.
