Yay new Chapter....Have you seen Friendship Games yet????
Oh, my.
So, Zecora is going to be a tough nut to crack. Seduction, lots of apologizing, and Twilight will probably have to wait until she doesn't have Celestia to worry about.
It's very interesting, seeing how the darkness comes back so easily.
That was a lovely romantic scene between Twilight and Luna. I loved it.
Ah, Zecora. It was as I feared. We shall miss you for the nonce.
And now a dangerous game begins with Celestia. I'm on the edge of my seat. I suspect there will be some close calls.
And yay! Musical Number! Well done!
Good for Zecora. Twilight needed someone to actually reject her for what she's done, since Luna apparrantly won't. Of course, I do still want Twilight to prevail against Celestia, who I would say is fair game for Twilight's new dominating lifestyle. If Zecora's reaction is anything to go by though, Twilight stands to lose most, perhaps all of the other mane six. That is unless she just decides to enslave them again as she has Trixie. Nice chapter.
6467899
I suspect she'll have better luck with the other ponies. They are used to relying on Twilight's leadership. They all have submissive kinks, and were permitted to explore them with Twilight and the others. Most likely, they'll accept an apology, and ask for Twilight to agree to some limits on how the charm is used. I don't think any of them will be angry enough to abandon Twilight to face Celestia alone.
Zecora was charmed preemptively, and forced to act against her nature. She was made to fall in love, and was then abandoned. Twilight behaved very selfishly with her. For all that, Zecora is fond of Twilight and may forgive her in time, once she's satisfied that she will not be ill used again.
In this ponyverse, Zecora is reputed to use hypnotism. It is likely, too, that she understands the lure of mind control powers and how they can be abused.
6467948
It's not as if Zecora was the only one forced to act against her nature though. If I recall, half or more of Twilight's friends weren't gay, for example. Picture how they might react when they realize what they've been made to do, and that they were forced to believe they liked it at the time. Picture how you might react. Rarity in particular was pretty much assaulted by the spell when she found out what happened. And even for those who were gay or bi, like Rainbow, I can't picture her being okay with how she was used, or how her friends were used. The fact that they are used to relying on Twilight's leadership would worsen the situation for her I would imagine, because it is a bigger betrayal for them than it was for Zecora.
Now, I realize everyone in this story may end up forgiving Twilight, even Zecora and Trixie, because while this fic has a very engaging and thoughtful plot, it is also at it's core clop, so rational reactions and consequences won't always play out as they might otherwise. But should it come to pass that Twilight is completely forgiven and taken back by everyone she charmed, I'm gonna be a little disappointed, story-wise.
You did it again. You have blown my mind with this new chapter once again and not with the usual twists and turns, but with something I would never have expected,
I would have ended this chapter after this touching scene though. The meeting at Trixies house just crushed the effect this chapter could have had on us.
6467993 With Rarity, a lot of what happened was at Rarity's instigation, albeit as a result of her world-view having been warped by the charm. Pinkie-Pie actually volunteered. Fluttershy was tricked into agreeing, but was given something she wanted in the process. Rainbow Dash got what she wanted out of the deal.
It's only really Zecora that Twilight treated badly, so, while the others may have objections to what happened on general principle, they don't have Zecora's grievance to prompt them to leave. And even Zecora may decide she wants what she had during the good times, so long as she has a reasonable guarantee that she won't have to suffer through the bad times again...
Zecora seemed more angry that she didn't get to enjoy being her slave than that she was made a slave...
Loved the scene with Twilight dominating Luna without the spell, though I'm also looking forward to more of her using the charm too. And to see what happens next time Celestia comes for a "check-up".
6468198
That's the point though, Rarity did help facilitate some of Twilight's shenanigans, but it was after she was charmed. She's not responsible for those actions because she wasn't really in control of them. Pinkie Pie was manipulated into joining because she thought everyone else was happy, which they were as far as she knew. I'm not of the mind that any of the mares Twilight had to trick, or charmed from the onset would be okay with what happened. Zecora was not treated much worse than any of Twilight's other friends, she was just unfortunate enough to not have been changed back to herself by Celestia like they were, so she suffered more during that time.
You really don't think Rarity would be angry with Twilight? Or Fluttershy? Heck, as much of a happy-go-lucky party mare as Pinkie is, she still knows right from wrong. She was speaking with Zecora about her suspicions of Twilight if you recall, which is how Zecora got roped into the mess in the first place. I'd say Pinkie could go either way in regards to Twilight though.
What I'll be interested in is seeing Twilight entrancing her friends again, one by one. I mean, Luna was only Awakened by Celestia the one time, asked a few questions, and let go when Celestia was convinced that Twilight had never used the charm on her. And Zecora was never charmed by Celestia at all. As much drama as there's been here, they're both relatively straightforward - awakened, offered the chance at freedom, problem solved.
The others are not going to be like that.
Celestia, for one thing, has almost certainly programmed them with "Report To Me If Twilight Acts Unusually" instructions. If Celestia ever thought of a place to throw in a contingency plan, it would be here - a compulsion to occasionally check up on Twilight and report any odd behaviour, or a trigger that would only activate if Twilight attempts to awaken them. If Twilight ever did manage to recover her memories, Celestia would have to be aware that Twilight would Awaken her friends again at some point. And we KNOW that Celestia has been in their heads, because they're the five ponies that Celestia knows Twilight actually charmed. The odds that Celestia has tinkered in their minds is EXTREMELY high, and Twilight's going to have to tread very carefully.
Not to mention... well. Celestia would have reviewed their memories to see what instructions Twilight had given her friends. She'd have to have done so, in order to be sure she'd cancelled any existing instructions. So Celestia would have been able to watch the Kinky Dom Twilight Show from start to finish, from five seperate viewpoints. And considering the lusts that have been reawakened in her, and how obviously bad Celestia is at fighting the temptation to use the charm... are we taking bets on whether or not Celestia has played with any of Twilight's friends? Because you'd have to think she may have.
And of course, in order to find all this out, Twilight can't just Awaken her friends and let them choose whether or not to serve, as she did with Zecora. She's going to HAVE to Awaken them, restore their memories, and toy around with them to see what, if anything, Celestia did to them. We'll see how good Twilight's impulse control is then, I think. It's one thing to take her friends and give them the chance to be her slaves if they want. It'll be another to take her friends, make them slaves again, and then give them the chance to NOT be. Especially after Zecora's rejection. Twilight might have the temptation to let her friends be slaves again for just one more day... just one...
Eagerly looking forward to seeing how it's resolved!
Oh snap.
Luna is still best pony.
Yay The Slutty and Submissive Trixie stays! I was very surprised at Luna's attitude, I'm supposing Twilight was able to explain her reasons for why Trixie is the way she is and Luna doesn't want to argue too much since she'd rather mitigate any damage done rather than outright prevent it. Also damn Twilight went really hardcore with that Luna scene, she's absolutely addicted to dominating ponies, Luna's gonna have a really hard time doing anything if she let's their relationship affect her judgement.
The song was pretty cool, I thought it fit pretty well into that section after Zecora's completely reasonable reaction. Letting Zecora go home alone and stew for awhile might make her more receptive or it could cause depression or insanity, I mean this is the sort life altering event that might cause someone to become an alcoholic, guess we'll see.
And finally the last bit was fun, having the crew together thinking about complex legal wording to make them hopefully Celestia proof was relaxing after all the drama. Twilight probably isn't going to be having a good time here, she's basically resigned to the fact she'll have to do more for Celestia only now she'll actually be conscious during all of it, I hope Celestia doesn't try and do anything too drastic or Twilight is going to be reallllllly fucked in both meanings of the word.
I'm happy you were able to get this chapter out quite quickly, only eleven days is incredibly impressive for a 9300 word page. At this point Twi & Co. are going to want to figure that charm spell out so I'm very much looking forward to Twilight testing more of it's capabilities on Trixie. I don't think Twilight should really try and free her friends until she's able to charm Celestia, mainly because the more ponies that know the more likely something will slip. I have no idea what the mane six's reaction will be but I'm hoping for a mostly good turnout or for Twilight to say fuck it to all this morality and just take them back (I can always dream at least ).
Looking forward to more of your awesome writing!
Oh snap.
I just want to see her get Applejack back...though I'm unsure if I'm keen to see her go through that remembering thing. I mean look at Zecora, was so sad to see her go and say such things to Twilight. Expected but still sad to see, not sure Twilight could survive mentally if Applejack leaves her she might snap and say to hell with letting them choose.
That was fun, may I have another? Looking forward to more.
Keep up the good work. Deus tecum.
6468344 actually, i doubt that Celestia would bother with the others when she controls their owner, all she would have to do is use Twilight as her proxie in Awakening the others and asking her questions through Twilight. Twi saying that 'all commands are canceled' would wipe out her own instructions and restore their previous personas.
remember that Celestias greatest weakness in this fic...is her own arrogance. Tia may have created the Charm, but she never played with it much...never found its limits or all that it can do. she used it for what she wanted and that was it. Twi has the advantage in that she has tested the charm, she has been learning its limits and what all it can be used for. that knowledge lets her work with the charm to a much greater degree that Celestia, to do more with it than simple instructions and control. in this game of Charmed Chess knowledge is the greatest weapon the players have.
Celestias advantage is that shes charmed Twilight. Twilights advantage is that she knows more about this charm through her tests and experiments with it. in their last encouter, Celestra placed Twilight in Check...but the game is not over yet...
6469442
Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree that Twilight has a superior understanding of the Charm, and that Celestia has severely underestimated how well Twilight has planned everything. But, well, Twilight's friends were all her loyal sex slaves, and now they're not. Their memories and behaviour have been altered. That's not speculation, it's fact. Which means that it is an ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that at some point after Celestia successfully used the Charm on Twilight, those five mares have been Awakened and reprogrammed.
We have seen Twilight's memories unlocked, so we know Twilight didn't reprogram her friends. With her off the table, the only two possibilities that remain are that Celestia taught the Charm to another pony and got THEM to reprogram the gang, or that Celestia did it herself. And I'm not buying that Celestia took the risk of teaching it to somepony else and making them do the dirty work. It was almost definitely Celestia herself, because it HAD to be somepony, and again, we know it was NOT Twilight Sparkle. Following that logic, that means there was almost certainly a point where Celestia used the Charm on all five of Twilight's friends, and either alone or as a group, reviewed their memories and undid the changes that Twilight programmed into them.
And if we accept this, well... take Celestia as we know her in this story, put her in a closed room with five mares who are mind-controlled into sex slaves and will do literally anything she tells them to. Honestly, suggesting that Celestia DIDN'T make use of them is the possibility that stretches plausibility at that point.
6469491 i wouldnt say that, if Celestia had Twilight cancel her commands for the other girls and then send them home, they would be restored to their previous lives. we r given the impresstion that Celestra didnt start abusing the charm again for perhaps a few weeks and she fixated first on Twilight, the others would have still been in Ponyville and out of her reach, plus, shes got all those Royal Guard ponies to charm and have sex with, y would she need Twilights friends? the simple fact is that, dictated by Logic, Celestia would have no reason to keep calling the girls to Canterlot when she wanted to 'play', and that action would get suspicious over time. much easier to Awaken the ponies who r around her all the time anyway, and easier to hide as a result.
she would have no reason to call the others, but she would, and did, have reason to call Twi, checking to be sure she had not rediscovered the charm on her own and then having temptation set in for using Twilight. being her Student, it would make sense to call Twilight to Canterlot frequently and the existence of the charm remains hidden as a result. as u can see, my logic is undeniable,
6469035
Well, for what it's worth, Applejack is the one most likely to say yes to Twilight at this point. Let's not forget that back in Chapter 9, Twilight sorta DID come clean to Applejack about everything she'd done, let Applejack review the memories and understand the changes that Twilight had made to her mind... and Applejack still said yes. Obviously it wasn't the full "Freedom Of Choice" trance that she gave Luna and Zecora, but Applejack looked over everything and decided to remain loyal to Twilight. Basically, if Twilight would just be offering Applejack the same choice again, but with even more freedom. I can totally believe Applejack would choose to be Twilight's again.
Same for Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, really. Twilight may have... given them incentives to say yes, but ultimately she still gave them a real, legitimate choice to do it or not, based on their own desires. Rainbow Dash she was at least completely honest with, though I can see Rainbow being a little more upset at how she was controlled... and then at the same time, I can see her being okay with it after the event because she trusts Twilight and it all ended up okay after all. Honestly, the only one besides Zecora who was openly against Twilight and had her mind forcibly changed was Rarity, so I'd have to think she's the biggest risk of saying no to Twilight, or at least no to being a slave. Even despite that, though, I can believe Rarity would support her friends in taking down Celestia.
Applejack, though, should be fine. I hope.
6469520
Yes, except that again, we have seen Twilight's memories. We know everything that happened after Celestia charmed her. We know everything that Twilight has done, and been made to do, and we know very specifically that Twilight did not reverse the changes to her friends' minds. As in, with absolute and 100% certainty, this is a thing that did not happen. Somepony did it, but it wasn't Twilight. I'm not speculating or making this up. It's a fact.
Therefore, the only possibilities that remain are that Celestia taught the Charm to another pony just for this one fiddly little job, which goes against everything that we have learned about the Charm and Celestia to this point... or that Celestia did it herself. Those are literally the only two options. Take your pick of which is more likely!
Perhaps this is just the mildly-paranoid rules-lawyer in me talking, but I'm fairly certain some parts of the Celestial-Control-Countering Commands could have been better thought-out:
First of all, by allowing for conscious decisions, Twilight is also creating the possibility for indecisions; momentary delays between hidden Celestia giving a command and Twilight deciding whether to accept it or not. Under most any other circumstance this wouldn't be a problem, but since Celestia's Command was that any orders she gives Twilight while hidden are supposed to be considered Twilight's own spontaneous thoughts or feelings which would she act on immediately and without question, even the moment it takes her to ask herself, "Do I really want to strip naked right now?" can become suspect, especially given how rapid-fire those orders can come in the heat of the moment.
It would likely be safer to completely reinstate Celestia's voyeuristic Commands, with the only override point being at the beginning of each session (indicated by either the words "reasonable request" or Celestia activating her nondetection Command) where any hesitation can easily be rationalized as momentary confusion. If the override is not engaged within X seconds, it would instead trigger an automatic memory-wipe of all things Charm-related in Twilight's head, followed by a full restoration of said memories (along with any new ones made in that session) some time after Celestia has left.
Also, I personally happen to find Celestia's perverted uses of the Charm to be just as hot, if not slightly hotter than Twilight's escapades, and I think this would be a good way to retain the effect of those first two sessions we saw without any unnecessary distractions.
Secondly, in a similar vein to the first point:
This means that upon the utterance of those words she will at least experience a brief but intense libido spike before she can turn it off. While this is still leagues better than Celestia's Command, which would have bound her to fulfill the request with no escape route, it still presents potentially dangerous and (with the above suggestion) unnecessary distraction at a time when she may need every ounce of her focus.
Also, you'd be surprised how often people of certain dialects might use the phrase when asking a favor.
Third and by far the most glaring is a complete lack of safeties in the event that Celestia gives her another Tranced Command, especially if she words it in such a way that it once again alters Twilight's memories, though one that affects her normal thought-process or plants another hidden trigger could be dangerous too. And since Celestia doesn't know Twilight has regained her sealed memories, any Command she gives could house absent-minded wording that could radically affect Twilight's mind. One possible way to fix this oversight would be a pair of relatively simple commands, one for Twilight and one for Luna (with her permission, of course):
This is meant only to be a signal to trigger Luna's Command, and is intentionally innocuous so as to both avoid drawing suspicion from Celestia and to continue functioning under even the most mind-warping of Commands (unless they are designed specifically to counteract this or similar signals, in which case the jig is probably up anyway). It's just an open window, no big deal.
This is the real safety condition, complete with tamper-resistant wording, redundant security features, and a final "Code Red" trigger that has some small chance of being overlooked and activated even if Celestia catches the both of them. After all, sometimes nights can get so sweltering that you simple can't sleep with your window closed.
Of course, this will inevitably lead to a few false alarms, but that should be an acceptably small price to pay for the added security (and an excellent excuse for some fun, since they'll be alone together anyway...).
But as I said, I might just be jumping at shadows and the author isn't planning on using any of these apparent weaknesses.
Or maybe he was, and I just inadvertently spoiled future events.
Or maybe wasn't, but now that I've given him the idea(s) he plans to use them anyway.
...
If either of the latter two end up being true for any of my walls of text, consider this my official Calling of It, to be reiterated when It finally happens.
6469546 Celestia did return to Ponyville with Twilight to ensure that all traces of the Charm were removed from her home and life, this is true, however, she still could have been using Twi as her proxie, we do not see everything that went on between them in the Memory Chapters, only highlights. it would be illogical for Celestia to Awaken the other girls at this point since she had Twilight to Awaken them for her. we r never shown Twis instructions and programming being undone, we only know that it happened and the results of it being undone. ur claim that Celestia was the one to undo it has no more backing than my claim she had nothing to do with it, save that my claim is more in tune with logical sense. a simple blanket wipe and she wouldnt need to go digging, all commands null and void, persona restored to default, all visible trace of the charm gone, Tia goes home happy save for weekly check ins to make sure the charm is gone and hasnt be rediscovered again.
since Tia does not fully understand her creation, as Twilight does, shes sloppy in her execution of its use. this is demonstrated when she first takes Twis memories. she does demand answers of Twi using the charm, she asks questions and expects a truthful answer. Twi found in her experiments that asking questions was different than giving a statement for information. a question can be countered by a command to lie, a statement counts as a new command overriding a command to lie and hide truth and getting the full truth. like i said, knowledge is power in this game, Twi knows more, so shes not as sloppy as Tia. Tia thinks she knows...but her knowledge is vastly inferior to Twis, so her instructions r sloppy and full of exploitable loop holes. Twi closes those loop holes with her use of the charm, as evidenced with her handling of Trixie, telling her to say 'wake up' instead of 'awaken' and not realizing the change, like Tia did to her, but adding in the clause that should it be proven to her that she cannot say 'awaken' she will laugh it off and immediately seek out Twilight. again, my logic is undeniable,
6469602
No, except... we DO know. We spent, like, an entire chapter doing it. Not highlights, not fragments, we saw whole memories. We saw Twilight in her own mindscape, and a bunch of glowing Memory-Cubes, and there were several marked as Celestia-Has-Charmed-Twilight memories. Then we watched them. All of them. We know, factually, every single memory of Twilight being Awakened by Celestia, and every command Twilight was Charmed to carry out as a result of being Awakened. And yes, we did see the part where Celestia made Twilight forget: It happens in Chapter 20, right at the end. Then we watch the memories that follow of Twilight being Awakened and controlled, and the events she was told to forget each time, in Chapter 21.
We know EVERYTHING that Celestia has made Twilight do since she was Charmed. And "Remove commands on her enslaved friends" was not a thing that Celestia made her do. If it was, we would have seen it. Therefore, it wasn't Twilight who did it. And, also therefore, it had to be somepony else, and Celestia is the most likely suspect. Besides, what's your logic here? Celestia finds out her student has access to a mind-control charm, and tried to mind-control Celestia using it, so Celestia INSTRUCTS TWILIGHT TO KEEP USING IT? She's gone to incredible efforts to stop Twilight from doing exactly that! And since we know Celestia is Charming others to be her toys - Cheerilee and the Guards, for example - it's completely reasonable to assume she'd also be willing to charm Twilight's friends. There's absolutely no reason for her not to.
So I'm sorry, but your logic is not undeniable. It's actually completely deniable, because it's based on something that's not correct.
Nooo Zecora come back.
Hm... Looking at Zecora's tirade it seems that we are seeing the effects of a "new" Zecora, similar to how the current Twilight is a "new" Twilight and not Empress Twilight from the early chapters nor UNM Twilight, but a combination of the two. Let's review her words for a moment shall we?
Now here is her first line, and it's quite obvious as to what she is talking about. Her mind has been rearranged twice by Twilight. First, to become Twilight's slave, which was done against her will; and second to be given the choice of freedom knowing what will happen if she accepts or refuses.
Now she is talking about the utter pain and heartbreak that she fully experienced during those long hard months of seeing UNM Twilight. Now when you think about it it's not that strange to think that maybe just maybe Zecora is lashing out? I mean think about her situation for a minute. Imagine if you saw the person you gave your whole being to become someone else and you couldn't approach them knowing that it would have dire consequences. How small and helpless you would feel with your one desire just barely out of reach. Like a piece of driftwood in a boiling ocean bobbing just ever so slightly out of reach as you slowly lose the energy to stay afloat.
Now her mind has been rearranged once again, this time to truly give her the choice of freedom or to be Twilight's slave. Look at what she says "I was at the peak of my joy" seeing Twilight arrive with Luna and thinking that it was Empress Twilight, but sadly it was New Twilight who gave her the choice of freedom, removing the alterations to Zecora's mind. Now this second heartbreak that she is talking about is that now her mind is what it was before being charmed, but with the memories of being under its influence. Despite it being more or less the moral thing to do it would seem at this point Zecora does not care if it is morally upright or not. She had just gone through hell, imagine going through getting dumped by someone you thought was the "one" and multiply that by a thousand fold, then for a few days you manage to get back together before suddenly being taken away from that pinnacle of happiness. "I am forced to be free" she is telling them that now she cannot return to being truly under Twilight's thrall and with that being said she will never again feel that feeling of being whole of being safe in the arms of her Empress.
Now, this is self explanatory, Slave Zecora knew that something was up, but didn't know what. But what can be gleaned from this is that she is absolutely furious at Luna for bringing this New Twilight, but that is by far the extent of Luna's grievances towards the Zebra, so not much else can be said.
Now this is the final kicker. In one fell swoop the one place, no the one pony who brought her true joy (albeit a forcibly induced one, but joy nonetheless). I think that she actually truly enjoyed being Twilight's slave, much like Luna had finally experienced companionship and love after being alone for so long. I'm pretty sure that there is still some remnant of Zecora's love for Twilight, but right now she is blinded by rage and can't think straight. I find that her last statement can be interpreted in another way, that she is no longer Twilight's friend but somewhere deep within longs to be her slave/lover and not her friend. Also I can't help but imagine Zecora crying her eyes out once she reaches her hut. I wouldn't mind seeing a chapter with Zecora coming to terms with what has happened to her. Because I really loved her and Twilight's interaction and they both had really sweet moments together that would make it such a shame if Zecora left forever.
I don't know how you do it, but the way you write is always so appealing.
The story is interesting, the sex is hot, even the way you write Luna undressing is hot, and I'm very interested in the further story.
6469631 i reviewed the Memory chapters just to be sure. we saw only two meetings between Twilight and Celestia. the first being when she and Tia had the tea and Tia made Twi think they were on a date, the second when Tia had Twi shaved. there is a time discrepancy, we know the time frame we r looking at is approximately two to three months and that for the first month at least, Tia had been calling Twi up to Canterlot at least once a week to check on her and make sure she hadnt found the charm again. we have not see everything Twi and Tia did while Tia was using the charm on her.
the simple fact is that neither of us have any actual evidence to support our claims, so really any further debate is pointless at this time. it is Logical to me that Tia used Twi as her proxie in dealing with her friends rather than doing it herself. it is Logical to u that Tia has been using all of the mane six for her games just as Twi was. as such, we r at an impasse, and since that is the case, let us end this debate as its going nowhere but in a circle at this time. should additional data become available, the issue can be reopened.
r we agreed?
Ah crap! Now there's 2 new chapters. I can't wait anymore! Must read!
6470380 This is a good question for the author.
Wintermist? Was Twilight compelled by Celestia to alter her friends memories, and was it just not featured in the 'On Reflection' Chapter for narrative reasons? Or is it more likely that Celestia met with the remaining Mane Six privately and used the charm to return them to 'normal'?
P.S. Spoiler tags added with apologies.
6470812 Having thought about it, it's not a spoiler to say that Twilight was not present while her friends were reprogrammed. (Spoiler tag for irony)
6470902
Unless you're one of said friends. It sure is a spoiler for them.
Typical intellectuals, making everything so complicated. I just would've made her body go on autopilot while keeping her mind above Celestia's commands. Simple, subtle, practically foolproof (for that part of the problem, at least).
6470380
I was going to say yes, but then it got resolved anyhow. Good to get it cleared up, anyway, so now we know where we stand. No hard feelings, I hope!
And that said, I still return to my original point - Twilight is gonna have to be REALLY careful awakening her friends. There's almost certainly traps laid in their minds for just such this eventuality, if Celestia has any ability to plan whatsoever. And if Celestia herself did the reprogramming... I still vote for sexy shenanigans while doing so.
I'm incredibly sad to see Zecora go, and hope against all hope that she'll come back eventually. Even still, this chapter was excellent and I eagerly look forward to more, as always. :)
6471741 Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Celestia hasn't done even as much contingency planning as Twilight thinks she has - the only reason Twilight even stands a chance in this fight is that Celestia doesn't even know it is a fight - as far as Celestia's concerned, she took Twilight entirely by surprise and won without a fight, then covered all her bases in cleanup - she asked Twilight everyone she'd charmed, and personally took care of each of them, in addition to making sure Twilight couldn't accidentally rediscover the charm's effects. Not only that, but, as a routine precaution, she checked on Twilight for a couple of weeks to make sure things were still holding. Maybe she's got a charmed pawn somewhere in Ponyville; maybe she's got tripwires in the rest of the Mane 6. But I'd argue against her having taken that sort of precaution - if she were thinking along those lines, she'd have set up a simple tripwire in Twilight too - something along the lines of "if you ever discover anything about a charm spell, come to tell me about it at the earliest opportunity" - and it would already be over.
My reading of the situation is that during the immediate cover-up, Celestia was in denial about how having Twilight under her complete control was making her feel - Celestia had to use the charm to cover things up, but she could just put things back they way they were - the way they were supposed to be - and then forget the whole thing entirely, right? And then have her memory of the charm blocked again, as soon as things are put right. Except, well, obviously she couldn't just forget the charm immediately - it would be irresponsible of her to forget this threat until she was absolutely sure that there was no trace left. And, hey, Twilight! Twilight could have come up with a contingency plan, right? She's totally smart that way! Yeah, there's no choice - Celestia had to awaken Twilight again and again just to make sure she didn't rediscover the charm somehow! Only, wow, it sure is enjoyable to have Twilight under complete control - and it's not like Twilight doesn't deserve to be played with - after all, it's exactly what she did herself. And the guard-ponies - if Twilight's coming in for regular checkups and punishment, then the guards are totally a security risk! And, hey, since they're already charmed, they might as well help out in Twilight's punishment for taking advantage of her friends...
And, hey, so long as Celestia doesn't think too hard about her justifications, she can continue having sexy fun with Twilight without anypony being any the wiser. It's a totally victimless crime. Did I say crime? It's not even a crime, and it's totally victimless, and Twilight kinda deserves it for controlling her friends like that, so it's actually a good thing for Celestia to do. Yep. No need to think any more about it!
edit: So, yeah, Celestia in that mindset might not have got around to involving the rest of the Mane 6 - and probably wouldn't have bothered to set any more traps except possibly to justify her checking on Twilight - see, if she set a charmed pony to keep an eye on Twilight, the danger must be real!
Twilight's right to act as though Celestia has taken extreme precautions - if she has and Twilight underestimates them, then it's game over; if she hasn't and Twilight overestimates them, then there's an unavoidable risk of accidental exposure from taking things slowly and employing elaborate precautions, but still a fairly good chance of success - so erring on the side of paranoia is definitely the way to go. I just don't see Celestia taking elaborate precautions and still leaving Twilight enough wiggle-room for things to unfold this way.
So, Twilight is seriously going to try to take on Celestia again.
...
Wait! Does this mean we're actually going use "Plan B"?!?
I lose it every time Trixie lies.
6469932 Zecora's reaction is interesting, in that she seemed to care more about her treatment while enchanted than the fact she was enchanted. Less 'How could you enslave me Twilight, I thought we were friends?' and more 'How could you treat me so cruelly while I was your slave Twilight?'
It suggests one of two things to me. Either Zecora had some submissive proclivities all along that no one suspected, and Twilight was not too far off when she first suggested that Zecora had always yearned to be controlled.
Or... being under the control of the spell's caster is so intensely pleasurable that it changes your thought processes, and makes you desire to be controlled. If this is the case, then if Twilight had told Luna and Zecora to feel the way they felt before they were enchanted, she would have received very different reactions from both of them.
If the latter is true, she shouldn't have too much difficulty getting forgiveness from her other pony friends. Their experiences under the charm were mostly pleasurable, and the memory of it will lead them to crave more of that experience, which will help appease any ruffled manes.
Also, if the latter is true, it poses a problem for Twilight. In addition to fighting the urge to say 'Screw this! I'm going to just make everypony do what I want and damn the consequences!', when Celestia plays with Twilight, she will have to resist the urge to say 'Screw this! I'm going to confess everything, and beg Celestia to make me her plaything!' as the enchantment excites her pleasure at obeying and urges her to submit.
I'll be curious to see what Wintermist comes up with.
6474865 Well if you recall she put Zecora into the same self confrontational trance that she herself and Luna into and in the end the two personalities fused. I think that it's highly probable that something similar to Luna had happened to Zecora, but instead of being calm and collected she just lashed out in anger towards the closest target, i.e. Twilight. And you're right, she was more mad about how she was being treated as a slave and not being a slave. I think that Zecora's pre-focused mind/personality took over for the most part thus rendering Slave Zecora's personality null and void, which I think may have not been the intention. So I think that there is still a strong case to suggest that Zecora will be coming back (hopefully soon)
As for Twilight in the end just wanting to be Celestia's slave, I don't think that's likely. Because we've seen her memories under the influence of the Charm and she doesn't get off being used by Celestia more than actually using the Charm on other ponies. It's pretty much like trying to convince a Dom to enjoy being a Sub. They will get off, but it would feel different than what they truly get off on. Though that her mind can be totally rewritten is beside the point, Twilight as she is now would not want to be Celestia's plaything. She prefers being the Mistress and that is something I can get behind (in more than one way if you know what I mean)
*edit* Whoohoo! 999th comment!
6485684 One true ending. Additional bits and pieces will be some after-the-end content, for the immediate aftermath and a little further afield.
Well, Twilight, and you the author, have completely surprised me (applauds). You have also taught me two things, 1. Just because even the brightest can fall, doesn't mean they can't come back with or without help, and 2. If my fantasies are things I am truly capable of, I am (pardon the vulgarity) a truly, horrifically sick fuck.
*GASP!* How dare you!
6506292 I know right?!
It took me three days to finish this. THREE DAYS!!!
6507698 SaBOTour: A bit further in the reading we find Celestia awakens Luna once after Twilight's attempts to charm her.
It was the second time there were loopholes in Celestia's interrogation that allowed Twilight and Luna to regroup.
It has been explained that the reason that Celestia developed the charm in the first place was to arrest her sister's increasing madness and corruption. And in fact Luna's decline worsened after Celestia had the charm removed from her memory by Starswirl. It seems to me Nightmare Moon would have come about in spite of the charm, not because of it.
One question I have, is what is making Celestia so careless? In canon, she's a bit of a mastermind. Not infallible, but still usually a few steps ahead of everypony due to careful planning. Granted, this is a darker, kinkier Equestria. Is this just a different, more fallible Celestia? Is the use of the charm so arousing to her hypnofetish that she can't think straight? Or is some part of her, realizing she's tumbling down a slippery slope into madness and corruption subtly sabotaging her?
Any thoughts?

Celestia isn't necessarily a mastermind. In this case it's pretty clear that her mistakes all stem from how she treats the spell. To her it just does what it does; she never stopped to consider the finer points that Twilight noticed through her study of the spell. Why would she even look into the details like that when she's never had serious opposition (in fact, she's always been immune as far as she's concerned). Twilight trying to use it on her didn't make her suddenly feel like it was important to plan for a mind control war, it just made her feel that a dangerous temptation was returned to her. Overall her mistakes are pretty understandable.
6510319 Yeah, Twilight's only point of leverage against Celestia is that Celestia doesn't know she's in a fight - from Celestia's perspective, her precautions worked, Twilight's been safely contained, and the only real threat is the temptation represented by the spell - so, of course, she'll have to do something about that... someday...
6515497 it doesn't bother me at all! Unfortunately, the answer is: not so soon. Took a small break to spend a week on a side project, a one off. More FiMC in a couple of weeks or so.
6516061 Nyah! Real life, my old Nemesis!
well , that's certainly not a direction i would have ever thought this fic would take , still though what has transpired to get to this point is way more grim dark than i can handle.....
