Blackjack, an incompetent security mare from the dystopian Stable 99, suddenly has her monotonous life turned upside down when the stable is invaded by vicious raiders. Blackjack flees the stable with EC-1101, with the wasteland in hot pursuit.

How is this just being displayed on fimfic's main page?! It's the longest Fallout: equestria story on this site and, not including the original, the highest rated. This should have a permanent link 24/7/365.
Soon, into the breach once more. That's nice it's on the featured sidebar on fimfic.
7361214 thanks for telling me. Sorry for the mistake.
7361489
It was a funny mistake! I wouldn't have minded if you hadn't fixed it.
BTW, I didn't get a notification of your reply. Something about replying to comments on different chapters bugs it out or something.
The addition of Homage's test is interesting. Going through some different stages of reaction to it, starting with questioning how it seemed to take away ambiguity which had already been excised (but in the opposite direction), then thinking it may have reintroduced it, then that it's consistent with what I thought the status quo was, before deciding it makes more sense as a personality test than a knowledge one in any case.
Anyway, some things I saw:
period should possibly be question mark, needs closing quotation mark in any case
period after "blush" should be comma
"plaintively"
period should be comma
The separator after this isn't centered
Wheeeeeeeeew, this is getting intense man, way more intense. BJ and Glory meet at last...
Lord lordy! What a chapter! Again, no words.
Damn good work Somber, damn good work.
Morning indeed. 7:07 AM here. T'was worth it. Poor Blackjack once again, now dealing with the consequences of freeing Goldenblood from his prison, killing him with kindness ought to work ha, kicking Hades' ass in a fight while blissfully too drunk to care, the consequences of revealing the Batpony citadel to the world on accident, awkwardly introducting Whispher and Goldenblood to one another, and did Blackjack leave Goldenblood at the Citadel? While it was under attack? and amateur impersonators and Morning Glory being super pissed at BJ with assuming Cognitum is BJ even though she does a terrible Blackjack impression. Despite Glory being mad again, she reminds me of this song
Things are wrapping up. And it is so weird to consider what is happening post the original story. A good kind of weird though.
[ ] Not rekt.
[ ] Rekt.
[X] FUCKING REKT.
The more I think about it, the more this story reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Somber my Brony friend. I have seen you have stopped on here with Chapter 68. Any estimation of Chapter 69 to 76 to appear on here(FiMFiction.net)? I do have the zip file of the .pdf form.

Hmm... as to Velvet and Glory never mentioning anything of the sort, I can't see why they would. "Oh, be sure not to get raped... it could make you sick!" ...Not really a necessary conversation. I also don't take unbroken skin for granted, even on Scotch. They've all had a rough time. Lastly, while I hate to dwell on it... Blackjack's mouth is as damaged as the rest of her at this point... a lot, to be brief. She's not healing properly, so I'm not sure about her mouth being uncontaminated.
All that said, you make a good point, and thank you for the reply. Major diseases really haven't been mentioned, outside the raider plague, and if that spread easily through blood contact all the close quarters fighting would have likely ended the story badly awhile ago. I've gotten the impression it has to be broken down and metabolized rather than simply contracted through contact, open wound or otherwise. Actually, I feel like, if anything, I remember reading a mention that all the radiation actually made illnesses less likely... outside of radiation sickness and taint, obviously. Can't remember where I saw that, though, so I may just be crazy. Enjoy your day!
7388867 Blackjack always gives another chance. It's her great virtue and greatest flaw. It causes trouble for her later on, and it saves her life. And her insistence on her friends not killing them was for their benefit as well; she didn't want them becoming executioners either. It's a bit moot since P-21, Rampage, and even Lacunae would all be happy to eliminate this scum for what they did, but Blackjack is begging them not to. She runs into two of the four. One has changed his ways. The other gets his brains blown out. The other two are never mentioned again.
And no, I certainly don't mind your reviews. I quite enjoy reading them.
7389231 Not just in the "don't get raped" sense, but even for things like "you were raped/just had unprotected sex with a stranger, let me know if these symptoms show up" or "be careful with the prostitute" (this last especially having potential to show up in Glory's case as a passive aggressive dig in Flank about Caprice--or, for that matter, commenting on it as a potential health threat for the community in general). Then think about Stable 99 itself: it's a pretty good argument that either they did great screening on/before entry, cured or contained everything in the early generations, or something along those lines, because otherwise I'd think that environment would lead to a complete cesspool of STIs, or at least that if there were any, they'd have pretty comprehensive safe-sex education (and I'd suspect that that at least would be a part Blackjack might pay attention to and remember, like the combat training).

Ooh, I forgot about the Caprice thing... yeah that would have been the perfect opportunity. As to stable life... there was a mention about stable ponies being more susceptible to surface diseases (granted, just Blackjack catching a cold, and then P-21 stealing it, but hey) that could imply that stables, or at least 99, were a clean environment in that regard. Further, sterility talismans (granted, for the practical purpose of population control, but)... so yeah, 99 went out of its way to encourage sex as frequent entertainment, implying that, even if stds were a thing, they weren't a problem there. Either way I agree, they really haven't been mentioned.
I didn't want to knooooowwww
but ah well.... really it's hard to avoid spoilers, this story gets mentions in comments sections elsewhere. Blackjack the Alicorn... I don't know how or why... but I know, and not from comments here... how annoying... (to know, not that happening... )
Fair enough on Blackjack's virtue/flaw there. Now if only she'd accept that, if she gives others more chances, she deserves them, too... setting aside that 'deserve' is a pretty high minded goal in the Wasteland. It's that combination of self agnegation and mercy... I get why she could dream P-21 as Overlord (no matter how sick and messed up that was... yeesh) though that makes me want to grab her by the mane and shake her. Probably wouldn't end well for me... but might be worth.
Anywho I'll probably shaddup just the same for a couple chapters... probly...? Thanks for the kind replies.
Fucking damn it..... the farther you get into it the longer the load screens get. when will somebody make a game that can load its data to the end without nuking its load times!?
I love this.
Oh sugar honey iced tea
What...dafuq?
Well at least it got the hint.
Still, that thing is akin to talking to Cleverbot.
Flat out annoying and counterintuitive.
'cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around~
You can't handle math...but you can manipulate an entire country, create a shadow government and make Horizons, a world destroying super metorite launcher.
...okay. Cool.
Really, that's totally fine.
You know...I can't help but wonder how Psalm is feeling right now.
The poor, confused thing seeing so many Blackjacks.
She must be a wreck right now.
You know...when you think of all the things BJ has been through, you would think that their love drawn reunion of infinite joy and belonging would be a lot happier.
And quieter.
And nicer.
And seriously, Blackjack?
"Um, hi" is all you can muster up?
But you know what? That right there is exactly where the authenticity comes in.
Only Blackjack could muster up such a lame reunion with her love at the worst possible time.
That how you know it's her.
Epic level fuck ups.
Like...lv100+
Out of 50.
I don't see what the problem with that explanation was.
It was straight, to the point, and added sufficient data.
What wasn't that added, again?
Seriously, I've designed machines far more complex than that for my fictional worlds!
A couple reunions that didn’t go off as planned.
I have to say I’m enjoying BJ being back to square one in terms of power. I mean, you ramped her abilities up and up and up over four books, and now she’s actually far less than she started as, and it’s honestly a pretty great idea. I’m enjoying her trying to get used to doing things while not being invulnerable again.
So many ponies have turned out to be alive since the war that the mystique has far worn off. :B I really hope Goldenbood doesn’t get to reunite with Fluttershy. Heck, I hope Whisper doesn’t either. But something tells me that’s a vain hope...
But, uh, Goldenblood’s a ghoul? O.o When did that happen? I thought he’d just been in a stasis pod like Psycho. It’s only mentioned once...
Not a fan of deus ex Calamity there. Probably mostly because Homage is back. <.< That said, I know I’ve seen people in the past complain that no one ever writes about LP’s friends after Gardens, so I hope they’ve read this, because it totally counts!

Finished becoming a Canterlot ghoul in Canterlot/execution memory soon after the dragon ate the talisman. Figured he was immune due to his previous exposure, but it seemed like he actually started breathing better and such at that point. But yeah, also a stasis pod as part of the interrogation thing once he got to the Citadel.
Oh, Homage.
)
Don’t everChange. :V(Also looking at you, Velvet.

Makes sense, was not clear in context. I mean, I just sort of figured it was a combination of previous exposure and whatever brought him back to health.
Huh........wrong...story?
"there's no one easier to hustle than a hustler."
somehow i am reminded of the recent Dr. Strange comic books: a world that worshiped an evil being called Shuma-gorath. a young boy whose parents were killed for refusing to sacrifice him to it. when he grew up, he became the "Empericul", and set out to destroy ALL magic in EVERY dimension! Dr. Strange only won with the help of a strange and unexpected ally-who later tries to kill him.
Am I crazy, or did the whole "corrupted virtues" thing get edited out, except for the one mention of "corrupted justice" here?

I don't think so, unless it was done before the move to FIMFiction: the old Nallar.me/fics scrape of the Google Docs only has a couple approximate matches:
It looks more like it was just never much of a thing in PH (which, honestly, I prefer), but leaked in here--not necessarily derived from Blackjack's own adventures as much as from her reading the Book of Littlepip.
Another great chapter; the action was exciting, the dialogue was... and the ending was a wonderful draw (I might have to read more).
I'm on the edge about a certain trio showing up, but, regardless, I am glad that they did and shall be looking forward to what they do next. It was rather entertaining to see BJ trying to convince the pair that she is, indeed, the real BJ.
Yet, for some reason, I am still thinking about the scene between Goldenblood and Pinkie -- it may be because Pinkie is best pony, hooves down -- but, that one line is still racing through my head 'Have a mint-al, Pinkie.'... just... why?! You monster!!! T_T
I rather miss Blackjack's 'famous' phrase, 'ante up'. I hope it makes a return, maybe in the finale?
I'm far too curious now. Who needs sleep when one can read such a great story?
I also felt disgust at that scene, and not even angel bunny beating him fixed it
That's what the second playthrough is good for 🤣

How are you supposed to get to the moon??
It kept your body alive
But breaking furniture is fun...
That would have been good to know beforehand
At least they don't have to worry about dying off
Hahaha Blackjack clones. I knew that rock had to be something. How is she ever going to get her body back? Feels like there's no way. Glad to see more Calamity and Velvet
