Just when i though that old Sunset was bad, then comes the final twist and turns out that Shimer is pure evil.
I may confess, i skipped all the sex scenes from these Mirror Series, i'm here just for the story (seriously).

I think you might have to watch over your shoulder for supervillains, because Shimmer is making them look bad.
I like this Shimmer. She's awesome.
Also, really interesting take on the mirror world. I like how you pretty much made it into a modernized fantasy world, what with the drawing ceremony from last fragment and the revelation of changelings and fae in this one
Wow. So we finally find out the truth behind the Noodle Incident. I've been waiting months to find out what Sunset had done to Twilight to cause that much grief and hate; I had no idea it would break my heart so thoroughly. That was... wow.
And then, AND THEN, the same chapter that we find out, Shimmer happens. I mean... good GOD, MAN. What the FUCK. And the worst part is, I ain't even MAD, that was fucking IMPRESSIVE. Slow clap for Shimmer.
I don't know who is more evil; Sunset for having done that to Twilight just because she was jealous of Princess, or Shimmer for laying that on Twilight the way she did. Or... YOU. You horrible, magnificent, evil, sadistic motherfucker, because you're the one who came up with this in the first place, tortured us readers for MONTHS without telling us what the fuck bad even happened, yanking on our heartstrings when you finally do, then taking a goddamn chainsaw to them just because you can.
Bravo. This is such a messy bundle of cross world drama and I have no fucking idea how you pulled it off, but it is so brilliant to a degree beyond my comprehension that I came buckets.
And no one's even fucked yet.

Their relationship is one of my favorites on the show, and seeing it shattered like this... I almost never cry at anything, but you got tears out of me here. So sad.

4964484 that's a problem, as the sex scenes aren't just for titillation, they contain a little bit of character development and such. In particular this one has a hint of Shimmer being redeemable.

I'd say the first in the series was very much so, the second a bit awkward but only as much as it should be in the circumstances, and this one a liittle generic (for a given fetish anyway) until near the end. Generally excellent.

The first and second ones I could (and did) go for, despite finding the story more captivating than the sex.
I found the sex in this one completely unappealing. I think it is because you've successfully portrayed Sunset and Shimmer as complete bitches, even if one of them is now better; that is just intensely unattractive.

I started reading this series expecting some mediocre clop at best, but each subsequent chapter delivered a hard, stinging slap to that initial notion. Not only was it well written from a purely technical standpoint, but the plot, as well the interactions between the characters and their inner musings, truly intrigued me.
I will definitely be looking forward to the next instalment
On a side note, if not for your other popular story, I most likely wouldn't give this one--or rather three--a chance. This is yet another example why one should not judge a story (especially one involving the infamous, waifu-stealing Flash Sentry) based only on its popularity and rating... some people should have their voting privilege revoked I think

I think you might be able to see where I would be drawing the conclusion from. Not that I care either way, as Shimmer is obviously an original creation put together from various pieces of the show's mythology, adapted to the human world. Also a super bitch. Liking it so far, though the tonality difference between her inner monologue and Twilight's is fairly stark.
I might be maybe I dunno many months late but could you possibly put a "Dark" tag on this (and presumably the previous stories in this series)? It doesn't help having that filtered out to not see stuff about bitches and whores and generally people/ponies/everything being shitty if said stuff gets past the filter anyways...
I don't mean to come off as super aggressive or anything like that, this sort of stuff (to me) is just an unpleasant reminder that there are terrible people doing terrible things in real life, which is really not what I need to think about when I want to calm down and not be miserable...

No, that's a reasonable request. The first two stories do hint at things but (I would argue) are mired fully in the Sad tag, while the last two stories are very open about the dark stuff. This one straddles the line enough that I can definitely see why you'd want some forewarning. Dark tag added.
If this sort of thing really does get to you, I'm going to do what no sane author does and advise you to stop reading, since Shimmer isn't getting any better from here on out.
