I do not mean to offend, but if this is your entire view of the TCB world, you have either not read that many fics on it or only gone through a bunch of crap ones.
TCB is not about just a bunch of misanthropes and random nic cage stuff.
It's simply a world where ponies appeared with a magic expanding barrier that couldn't be stopped. Some humans turned into nutcase PER misanthropes, others xenophobes while the rest simply try to get by with what they have. The universe isn't restricted to all forced conversion and nor is it the ponies are always right.
Have a look at this fic if you want an example of a good TCB fic that might change your view if this is all you see TCB to be.
