Takes place during Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, just after the Koopaling boss battles.
After the Koopalings fail to defeat the Mario Brothers, the evil witch Cackletta banishes them from Mushroom World. The children of Bowser soon find themselves in a strange world populated by strangely-colored talking ponies with a strange fascination with the concept of friendship. While Princess Celestia works on a way to send them back, Ludwig, Lemmy, Roy, Iggy, Morton, Wendy, and Larry must each move in with various ponies in town and adjust to life in a world where kidnapping princesses is not a normal occurrence. Will the Koopalings finally break free of the monotony of being Daddy's Little Villains and make some real friends? Will they finally have the chance to carve their own paths in this world, and pursue their dreams? And most importantly, what will happen when they finally can go back? Will they want to?
Rated T for some minor language and some crude humor.

I like the new and slightly updated koopalings from the later games, although I'm not sure if they just slightly tweaked their visual appearances or if they updated their "personalities" as well... Anyway, they have immense potential to be interesting characters so I'll be following this one for sure!
One thing though, Roy's ninja turtle slang really hurts my brain... "Shell" instead of "hell" and all that... please stop

I'm pretty sure she's an Earth pony. I mean, she's appeared on the show twice. Unless you just gave another pony the name, I don't understand how you could come to that. {You might want to watch Baby Cakes or Applebuck Season again.}
Still, this is a good start. I was a bit surprised that you kind of threw them into the ponyverse so quickly. Usually, most authors give the other side a scene or two by themselves before the crossover happens. I'm not saying it's bad. You did it well enough. I'm just pointing it out.
I found it strange how Ludwig couldn't believe he was talking to a talking 'unicorn' {Earth pony}. I mean, his land is abound with strange creatures and magic. Seeing a talking unicorn{earth pony} shouldn't really surprise him.

Although I greatly dislike the Super Mario cartoons I do, however, understood why you've choose to give the Koopalings some traits of personality in order to pair them easily with certain ponies.
For example, Wendy is bratty, bad tempered, and girly in the cartoons, but in the games she is a tomboy and indifferent. I find that easily fit well with Rarity.
It still find the whole "the Koopalings are Bowser's kids" kinda dumb, seeing that they don't have any resemblance to Bowser at all, unlike Bowser Jr, but I'm not going to let that display of fact stop me from enjoying the story whenever it updates.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Wendy from the cartoons and Rarity share the same voice actors?
