I have been waiting for this chapter for a while, and it was perfect! Keep it going my friend.

That was pretty awesome!

:rainbowlaugh: i am loving your brilliant work:pinkiecrazy:

Bri

Y-your alive!!! Welcome back and definatly looking forward to the next chapter!

I'm glad your back welcome

Yay! A new chapter! :D

Great as always.

Did christmas come early for me or what? Awesome chapter, as always. I was wondering when another one was comin' out! I was beginnin' to think you didn't care for the story anymore. Glad to see I was wrong.

Welcome back.

PS: How many head canons with the mane six were just horribly violated?

None, considering the others besides Twilight were an illusion.

Another good chapter, and a second relaxed one in a row. Because of the latter, I have the feeling next chapter will be the toughest yet. :twilightblush:

What has been read cannot be unread.... Do I want to unread it? I honestly don't even know.

Headcanon violated? Pfft, more like verified.

Long time no see. Glad to see you're around again. Hope everything on the home front goes well.

Honestly... I'm still waiting for Twilight to snap. I personally cannot see it going any other way but that is how I see it. Whether or not you do such a thing is up to you and if you pull it off and people like it then good on you. My attention is drawn solely on my desire to see Twilight lash out and what is being done.

Hot damn!!!! I'm just so glad ur back. Great work on this chapter. It was all sorts of confused. I can't wait for what's to come. Thanks for sharing.

Ah your back! And another good chapter to boot! Hurray. :yay:

Agreed.

Maybe that's ultimately what it intends? Twilight can't go through life depending on Celestia all the time, so maybe this ritual is designed to wean her off of mindlessly following her orders.

However, Twilight has yet to pull out the big gun: that Celestia's little ritual hurt not only Twilight, but Luna as well. And deeply.

holy crap happy day so many new story updates....

also im just as confused and angry and twi is at the end of this , though i wouldn't be so complaisant as twi is probably just because it's celestia she's dealing with....

How many ponies at her coronation had known about what she was going to have to endure?

I wonder if Twilight Velvet and Night Light knew... Too late, my head canon now says they do.

I am glad to see that you are back, I was hoping to see this update again. It was nice to see some Flarity, even if it was fake and only for a few seconds. I am sure the buildup for the next chapter will be well worth the wait, we will finally get some Twilestia. KBO.

I'm waiting for the same thing. Or at least for Twilight to discontinue the tradition once she goes through with the ritual. I don't know if the author ever intended for the readers to accept the necessity of such a ritual but at least in my case that hasn't happened. And I doubt it will.

I just don't see how play acting such a ritual can help prevent the Bad Old Times from coming back. :twilightangry2:

I'm hopping this a test to make Twilight dominate Celestia. Then she becomes Queen Twilight Sparkle and Celestia gets demoted. Luna and Cadence not being able to do it made them lower on the scale. She deserves the rank of Queen in my opinion. :trollestia:

Interesting, very very interesting. I was very confused when Rarity and the others showed up, but things quickly made sense. Hm, but one thing. It's been a while since I've read this and I don't remember Cadence saying anything about Celestia being the one to break the cycle, because being an alicorn means she's very powerful, so it makes sense that she would easily be the one to end the abuse of mares in Equestria. Buuuuut the history is so vague and I doubt that the story will go into too much detail about the era when mares were pretty much property.

Little fun fact for anyone who sees this. Where I'm from we still have traditional or old school Fraternities and Sororities, and when I mean traditional I mean the ones where the members don't screw around like idiots, but are respectable as well as respected. I know a lot of these people and from what they tell me about their experiences and as well as my own there are so many parallels with their process and this one. I personally understand what is happening in this story on a deeper level than most others can. Which is why I find this story brilliant

I was expecting a more violent outburst, a show of power from Twilight, but I guess I'll have to be patient and watch Twilight play the Queen's game.

Good to see this being continued.

Celestia is really pissing me off. Twi should have gotten angrier than this I think. I reckon Twilight should agree to continue this but say to Celestia in no uncertain terms that she finds her treatment of Luna unacceptable and that she has lost a lot of faith and trust in her.

After reading all chapters to date I must say that so far each chapter has been interesting although after what just happened with Luna and the illusion, I'm surprised Twilight didn't unleash all that anger. I also think that Celestia's logic is flawed because this tradition is based the fact that they have break once to never break again but her way of doing things is takes things way to far, look what to happened to Luna. With that being I also think that Celestia is coming across as arrogant seeing as she is being referred as "Queen Celestia". If anything I wouldn't be surprised if Twilight does snap in the next chapter but we will have to wait and find

i always saw Twilight as a mare in a world of cardboard. always constantly holding back so as not to break something unless she wants to... but often doesn't want to.

why do i have the inkling that Blue-balls is behind most of this?
and that The nightmare moon thing is akin to the Symbiote from Spider-man?
and that it has bonded to Twilight?

Wooah! So many twists and turns!!!! I knew SOMETHING was up when the rest of the "mane 6" were being involved. I thought they were brainwashed or something but I never guessed that they were visions from Sombra's dark magic. So now I'm a little confused. Were Luna and Cadence also dark magic visions, or were they real? Aaaaaah!!!! :raritycry:

Can't wait for the next chapter!

No head canons were broken. I've run through the possibility of each of the mane six and other main characters being incredibly kinky and having their unique reactions. Plus since their kinky sides were never set it, it was quite easy to switch them from dominant to submissive and back again.

This chapter was good. I still don't like Celestia that much, even if she is doing this for a good-ish cause. Sadly I don't have much else to say. Good luck on the next chapter. Looking forward to it.

Mmmmm....this is the kind of sexual bliss that I can totally get into! :twilightblush: If there's one kind of sexual fun I absolutely adore, it's bondage. Perhaps not the super-violent side of bondage, but dominance and submission? I can dig it. Inflicting pain? I can get into it if it's something my partner enjoys, I won't deny the sadistic side of me that loves to hear my playmate scream.

However, I'm pretty sure Celestia crossed a lot of lines here. Equestria, and indeed the entire world, has evolved far past the dark ages. Yes, it's a good idea to bolster the hearts and minds of her country's rulers, those in power should only have as much power as they are capable of handling. Celestia is entirely competent and correct in that regard.

What she is NOT correct about is the fact that the things she's done to Twilight thus far, she believes are all entirely necessary. Kidnapping and drugging her? I mean....yeah, sure, that sort of stuff used to happen, but you have a purely matriarchal society now! You can stop dwelling on the past so much, Tia. :trixieshiftleft:

With that said, I'm really looking forward to what happens next! Celestia's going to be the most extreme torturer that Twilight will ever face most likely, and I have no doubt that it's going to be HOT!! :raritywink:

Wow, this is beautifully dark

Very nice story, I hope the next chapter comes out soon

3681403

Here're my hopes: A magnification of what happened with Luna, ie, break, then rise again. The final test is to suffer severe pain, perhaps a simulated violation or being whipped or shocked in tender places, and then rising up to be in charge.

The illusion was broken for me as soon as Rarity said suck. She'd have said something like 'positively awful' in that situation.

As for headcanons? I have two characters that I bother with in terms of relationships, and that's because of circumstances. Other than that, it could not matter less to me. So no violations there.

Having read through this, I'm looking forward to the next chapter eagerly.

I would like it if other male ponies were used in the final chapter..... But i think that would screw up the ritual. Im very interested in the next one

why do I want more:raritycry::raritycry::raritycry:

Will you be finishing this soon. I really want to see how this finishes.

Do you know that feeling if you have to put a real good book aside in order to work/sleep/whatever? This feeling in your stomach, and how you can't think of anything else until you get back to it? There are a few books which were able to accomplish that for me, but this is my first fanfic ever to do so.
I don't know why, but this story keeps bothering me in a positive way. I am not aroused by it, but I just love it very much. All the twists and confusion, as well as the pacing and style of writing contribute to how much I like this story. It is somehow kind of overtaking me a bit, and this is what I like about it. And of course I am very curious and excited to see what happens in the final test

tldr: Can't wait for the next chapter! :D

Wow, I thought that this was just another clop fic. Through the chapters I've read I felt like this story is something more. I can't really put it into words, but you have written something great and I will be waiting for the next chapter, not because of the clop, but for the story itself. Thank you for creating this.

In a land ruled by princess because there old but don't want to feel it. One man finds himself hear a land of candy and unicorns or so he thought. But the truth will rock your bones and crush your dreams. You will not You can not miss the next episode of dragon ball z.

If you do your a bich and you'll have no friends ever:pinkiecrazy:

Again, you're using the traditional argument to justify itself. "People have always used tradition to justify things, so tradition should justify things." It's interesting how it loops back on itself.

I'm not saying that people don't use fallacies like that, but that I'd expect a princess, especially somebody as rational as Twilight, to be able to see through the crap.

I lilked it. Naughty, but with thought.

I hope there'll be more chapters. I'm wondering what Tia has to say for the way she abused Luna - that *has* to be Twily's next question.

That was pretty amazing really, powerful.
Shame we'll probably never know the end... but the part that does exist is well worth reading on its own.
Good work.

But....b-but....

WHERE'S THE REST OF THE STORY?

Don't suppose you can finish this story, can you?

6105446 I've just read through this and was about to ask the same thing

so is this still being worked on or is it pretty much dead

Celestia's glare never wavered under the assault of Twilight's words. “This ritual is tough to make it through, yes. However, you had the option to walk away. Before this ritual was established, whenever mares were mere concubines, there was no option to walk away. No one cared about consent. If you cried, you were punished. If you protested, you were punished. If you refused, you could be put to death. I was the first one to break this cycle of abuse. Yes, Twilight. I am the one who created this ritual.”

“You know as well as I do that many of these Canterlot ponies are so stuffy about tradition. This ritual has been dying, yes, but it is still used as an initiation process, to shock you out of the gentle lifestyle you have been living.

What.
This entire thing… everything… happened because Celestia couldn’t accept that these new ponies were become princesses without experiencing the pain she went through? She expects Twilight to believe that after more than a thousand years she couldn’t get rid of one ritual that nopony had the authority to enforce?
She won’t even accept the responsibility for what she ordered the other princesses to do, how painfully she drove and manipulated Luna?

I will not go easy on you just because you are a student of mine.

She knows what you did to your sister, I think she gets your opinion on personal connections when it comes to this.

“Yes. Anything that we do, we mean to teach, not to harm. You may be punished but your rewards for obedience are great. The trust lies within your ability to trust me.”

Except she has been punished for things she could not possibly be expected to control, and punished vastly in excess of her failings even had control been entirely hers.

“Yes, but...” Twilight struggled with her words, not knowing how to phrase it. “I...don't know if I can trust you after this. What Princess Luna said, about using her anger to break me, and how I was meant to be broken from the start. Kidnapping me. Drugging me. How am I supposed to trust you?”
A strange smile was on Celestia's lips. “Know that no matter how much I hurt you while in play, it is not done out of maliciousness or evil intent. Think about my sister. She stopped when you said the safe word. Why do you think that is?”
“Because it means stop.”
“Yes. Anything that we do, we mean to teach, not to harm. You may be punished but your rewards for obedience are great. The trust lies within your ability to trust me.”
It was a non-answer. Somehow, Twilight wasn't very surprised. Celestia routinely gave her non-answers, making her think for herself about what she had said. Even now, in this strange ritual, Celestia still fit in her role as mentor. Even with all of her anger and mistrust, it was hard for Twilight to see Celestia as anything but a mentor. It tore at her, making her doubt Celestia and want to run into her safe embrace at the same time.
Celestia motioned to follow her further into the otherwise empty chamber. “Why don't I show you what's in store?”

The way she pushes the burden of the decision here onto Twilight is infuriating. Cryptic and mystic answers to questions work, and the thought they provoke is significant. Think about your sister. The one YOU drove into a breakdown by making her turn her anger on Twilight like that. What excuse will you give—that you thought Twilight would put things together with her? And yet that does nothing for the sisterly trust you shattered, for the so many stages of betrayal, for what you’ve done to Twilight, for this ritual that could have been abolished long ago and its teaching that could be delivered so much more gently, for…—
No maliciousness or evil intent. Yeah, I can actually believe that. But we already know you’re sick in the head.
I’ve seen Celestias that I’ve disliked or hated, that have disgusted me or made be roll my eyes and dismiss them. But I’ve never encountered one that infuriates me like this one. I had to stop writing for a bit because my hands were shaking so much.

But, as I read, I considered something. Twilight is powerful, so much so that Celestia can’t keep her controlled. And Twilight just learned how fun it can be to take charge, and Celestia’s illusion already planted the idea of being the dominant in her head.
Is Twilight going to overpower Celestia and turn the ritual on its head? Was Celestia waiting for somepony to do that?
Will Twilight supplant Celestia as Queen—or perhaps make all her fellow princesses Celestia’s Queen, with no one forcing them into anything anymore?
Is this stage of the ritual actually based on making Twilight the dom and degrading the very princess she looked up to, forcing the guilt of being the same onto her?

But I am certain about one thing at this point. Twilight won’t continue this ritual. Not after she’s seen how it’s hurt both herself and Luna (Cadance doesn’t seem to have many issues… except her brazen disregard for her marriage). If everypony else was, as Cadance said, afraid to be the one to break tradition first… well, no one’s ever accused Twilight of lacking courage.

What would they have done if Twilight took the other route to surviving torture? To withdraw all her feelings into herself (or kill them) and leaving behind a doll without care, who may react to pain or pleasure but is numb to it beyond the immediate. Had she done such a thing, she would have made it through the knife-play even if it stopped being play, no longer caring about why or who or what but just feeling each cut without reaction beyond the immediate. She’d make it past Cadance and Luna, but what then?

To call this “coercion” is putting it mildly—Twilight never had anything but the illusion of choice. She was only given this option after being made a princess—after being praised for this ascension by Celestia, after being paraded in front of the nation, after earning the greatest pride of her friends and family, after Princess Celestia oh-so-gently reprimanded her for still placing herself below Celestia when they were equals.
If she disagreed, not only would she betray all of that, but whatever trust Celestia had in her. She would no longer be someone Celestia could trust to go into danger for her, to keep her secrets, and to do everything she could to succeed.
“Nothing will happen”? Ridiculous. All three of them would know that she backed out of what they had endured, that she was ruled by either fear or uncertainty—and there’s no way Twilight could go back to her former relationship with them after seeing this behavior and being subjected to kidnapping, to say nothing of hearing Celestia’s cruel voice demand she be drugged, after realizing that despite what they led her to believe they had never really made her a princess. Things happened the moment they kidnapped her.
To leave, to disagree… that would rip out a goodly portion of Twilight’s world out from under her.
And to phrase this as a “test”… no, there was nothing Twilight could do but agree, no matter what you intended to do with her.

Do none of them see that associating princesshood with submission is a terrible idea? It’s no surprise that the princesses have always been so passive in response to dangers if they’ve been put through Pavlovian conditioning to roll over when given an order. Maybe that’s the reason there aren’t any other princesses alive. No wonder Twilight gave up all her magic to Tirek. More than duty and obligation to their populace, they’ve been teaching slavish obedience. A ruler can’t obey all their citizen’s desires, because they don’t know anything about running a country. A regent does what is best for the nation, not what the masses want them to do.

“To rule is to submit”… to the populace? How many half-princesses have failed the ritual because they saw the pain that had been inflicted to them as the fault of Equestria?

This… this is an awful representation of BDSM. It is one-way and selfish; Twilight is forced into a position from where she can’t disagree (there should be a rape warning), and is introduced to the idea of BDSM with minutes to prepare herself and no idea what’s supposed to happen—no relationship of ANY sort is initiated in such a short period of time, especially one needing as much attention as BDSM. This… this takes what is beautiful about bondage, master/slave relationships, even sadism/masochism and twists it into something ominous, all the while saying that this is for Twilight’s own good and letting slip her illusion of the option to leave. Even when lavishing pleasure onto Twilight, it doesn’t feel like they care about satisfying her as much as they want to drown her under sex.

But the worst… the worst part of this is that Twilight loves them. Cadance was her beloved foalsitter and her sister-in-law, Luna her friend, and she adored Celestia with every fiber of her being. For them to be the ones to do this feels a most foul betrayal.
Cadance was a violation of family, of both her brother’s marriage, her own love for her brother, and the sisterly love she held for Cadance.
Luna was a violation of body. The thrashing was awful. But even letting Twilight think that she was being cut up? The very thought is horrific… although I wonder why her spirit broke when it came to cutting Twilight. The flogging would have been more harmful and left worse scars than the sliver-like cuts of a scalpel. You did a good job for rebuilding empathy for her at the end, but not enough to counter the previous two chapters. It just showed that although Twilight broke now, Luna had broken to Celestia a long time earlier. But we can truly empathize with her, which is more than can be said for Cadance and (especially) Celestia.
Celestia…
Celestia has barely been in the story, but she has somehow done the worst. She has violated Twilight’s existing relationship with Cadance and Luna. She was (likely) responsible for the initial violation of Cadance’s relationship with Shining Armor. She has violated her relationship with her sister, with her fellow ruler, with the one pony who she should be most equal with. She has violated this relationship further by driving Luna to unload her anger onto Twilight’s mind and body, for the suffering and guilt she felt afterwards, when she was the very pony responsible for giving Luna such anger in the first place. She has violated Twilight’s trust in her teacher.

The saving grace of this story is that beautiful scene with Luna and Twilight. Although it can’t undo the scars of reading the previous two chapters, it is emotional, caring, and shows how wonderful bdsm can be (even if it is a very light example). Nothing is taken at the expense of the other.

I wonder… is it significant outside of the BDSM sense that Celestia has dubbed herself Queen? Cadance described the ponies who took the Princesses as their slave-wives as Kings, and Celestia is using the female equivalent to the title to dominate Princesses and mold them as she sees fit. Is she the modern-day King?

Is this story still on going? I really love it....

6569775 i dont really know to much about this site cause i am new but i think when a story was last updated 2 years ago it means it is dead

This is great, but writer seems dead.
