Max Stellan, a young adult working at a desk job never thought he would find himself in one of those isekai settings where the main character is whisked away to a new world. However, two things catch him completely off-guard: the inhabitants are walking, talking horses or ponies as they call themselves, and these two rival rulers seem to act strangely when he is close by. Wonder why?

I may not have been the best student, but to be fair I never put in any more effort than necessary. I barely passed my classes not because I was a bad student, but I just didn't care, even when challenged to a duel I didn't even try to win. This time was the last time as I was caught in a bad mood and actually fought back for once, the loser didn't take too kindly to getting curb stomped by a low level mage who's just short of failing all his classes. You can see where that's going.

Some may recognize the cover art from Lord Despair's story, "A Wizard's Tale". I honestly just typed dark mage in google images and it was one of the first that popped up. How could I not?

Applejack hasn't been sleeping well recently. In fact its almost driving her insane. The lack of sleep is making her imagine things. Course it is a good thing she has someone to talk to about why she can't sleep. A bit of introspection is good for the soul. Even if the pony you're talking with just happens to be made out of wood.

It has been a year since the Element's failure, and Nightmare Moon has not been seen. The pressure is finally weighing down on Equestria's new Chancellor, Twilight Sparkle. She still struggles with the events of that fateful night - the night the moon made its permanent place in the sky. After one fateful encounter, though, the course of Equestrian history shifts yet again as she begins to truly see this Nightmare. And maybe, just maybe, she and Nightmare Moon aren't so different.
