A hero. Someone who is expected to save someone’s life and protect the innocent. That’s what a hero (usually) is. Me? Oh, no, I’m not a hero. I’m just some changeling with basically no expectations for life. At all. Or, so I thought.

Prince Blueblood receives a letter that crushed his dreams for a potential romance. Feeling despondent, he mopes around the Castle, until he meets a very strange pony who gives him advice.

(This is very firmly set in the same 'Verse as my two other stories, so if you haven't read them, you'll have no idea what's going on. Not an actual sequel to Spawn of Secundus, this is a side story in the same story that takes place after Chapter Six.)

It's winter in the Badlands - the first winter since the changelings' reformation. Everyone, Thorax especially, is looking forward to the changelings' first Hearth's Warming Eve - though Pharynx is more skeptical. But as winter sets in, it seems the changelings are struggling to fight against the base instincts they've spent their whole lives following. When forced to make a tough decision, will Thorax have to accept that some things truly were done for the good of the Hive, or will he manage to carry his subjects through the winter?

A friend of mine had this idea of Queen Chrysalis from My Little Pony being resurrected, but she's shrunk and kept as a pet by her replacements. I figured this would make for a cool "what-if" scenario.

One Hearth’s Warming, a pegasus, Melody Song, is able to stop her friend, a changeling named Hero, from freezing himself so he could he play outside with his friends (it’s a long story). While Melody tries to warm the changeling up, the two admit something to each other. Something they very much agree with.

This was our Hearth’s Warming story, co-written by my girlfriend Melody Song. Go check her stories out. They’re frickin’ awesome.

Shadowstar is just a normal pony. Or, he was, until one day, a selfless act through his magic transforms him into an Alicorn. He joins Princess Celestia and her student, Twilight Sparkle, who are trying to abate the recent quarrels between the Dragons and Griffons. When another species, the Changelings, come into the feud after impersonating Celestia, Equestria must join the war. Shadowstar knows there is another way, and keeps trying to find a way to put a stop to the war. Meanwhile, followers of each race have decided the same. But they actually have a plan.

I'll make it clear now that there will be inconsistencies between this story and episodes 25-26 of season 2. (I'm thinking here of some of Chrysalis' dialogue, and the part of This Day Aria that Chrysalis sings. I won't tell you which ones because of spoilers.)

It’s Nightmare Night, and the changelings are getting ready for pranks, tricks, and treats. However, a nymph, Zenex, isn’t so keen on the holiday. It has to do with how many pranks his bullies have pulled on him. But today, his friends pull him out of his bed, and out into the night, where he learns that Nightmare Night isn’t so scary after all.

But why does he smell cinnamon? And hear rattling?

The a group of unreformed changelings have moved back into the Hive after a few weeks of absence. While some are adjusting to the new lifestyle, one changeling in particular finds it hard to adjust.
