After her success as the Princess of Detention, Luna has a half-baked plan to become the Princess of Home-Ec. Life, it seems, has other plans, and she is sent to retrieve a foundling. On her errand, there are lessons to be taught and some others to be learned. But, is Luna the teacher or the student?

For centuries, scholars have theorized that it was Luna’s jealousy over Celestia’s power that made the younger princess rebel. These same scholars then wrote the very history books that foals read to this day, a thousand years later. Few, however, knew the full truth.

Luna’s fall was not some nation-wide rebellion, nor was it some jealousy-fueled tantrum. The truth was far more shameful and cruel. It had indeed been Celestia’s fault, but not for the reasons that history said it was.

And so, on this cold and somber night, Celestia remembers the day of her greatest folly.

Forgath Ironblood is a man who values power and might. He spent untold years developing his dark magics, and years more using ice and iron and balefire to claim and rule his domain. But it didn't last; a group of bold and plucky rebels broke into his inner sanctum and unleashed a magic he was unprepared for, a magic that cast him into the void between worlds. At that point, he was no longer their problem and the peasants rejoiced.

The world he fell into, however, was another story. It was a world rich in magic. A world full of innocents. A world he could bend to his will and carve a new domain out of.

He never knew what hit him.

Every foal in Equestria dreams of the day they finally receive their cutie mark. The day in which everything in life makes finally sense. The day they find out their destiny in one glowing symbol. I waited my entire life to for that moment. I didn’t wish for anything extravagant, only something ordinary that would signify where I belonged.

What I got are two cutie marks. Two destinies.

Now, every day feels like walking a tightrope over a life I barely understand. My friends are drifting away, and the adults can’t decide if I’m a enigma or a problem.
