Repercussions

Chapter 95

I felt warm and comfortable and tried to resist waking up fully. If I wake up, I need to face everything going on and I really didn't want to do anything of the sort right now. I just wanted to stay right where I was.

Instead I nuzzled closer to the warm pony with me, holding her tighter with my forelegs.

A small groan came from her and she shifted, rolling over and cuddling closer in turn, "Is it morning?" she mumbled.

I recognized that voice. That's Sparks. Why is Sunset speaking with Sparks' voice?

My mostly asleep brain mulled that one over for a while before coming with the conclusion that the most likely answer was that it was Sparks, not Sunny that was speaking.

But that means that the pony I was cuddling was Sparks, not Sunny.

I risked opening one eye slightly.

Yep, purple.

I closed my eye again. Where are my hooves? Where's my wings?

All in safe places.

Buck it, too comfortable and waaay too sleepy.

Besides, not like Sunset haven't cuddled like this with Luna before, I'm the one that's stupid about these things, not anypony else. And right now it feels like they are really the ones that had the right idea about things.

"Dunnow," I grumbled against her mane, "...you check."

"Donwanna," Sparks mumbled with a sigh, "You open your eyes."

"No, you do it. I'm nocturnal."

"You're facing the window."

I groaned and sighed softly. "...If neither of us check, it's clearly still night and we can sleep for longer."

"Sounds good to me," Sparks agreed sleepily and sighed softly, shifting against me to get comfortable, nuzzling in against my neck.

I shifted my wing, slipping it around her and holding her a bit closer as I buried my nose into her mane. I wasn't sure how long we stayed like that, I may have drifted off for a bit too. But it was warm, comfortable and she smelled nice.

A door opened and the bed shifted slightly, "Seriously? You're still asleep?" Sunset asked and settled down behind Sparks, "It's almost noon!"

Sparks made a small sound of protest, nuzzling closer to me, hiding her face against my coat as I forced my eyes open to look at Sunset,

"Too early."

Sunset shook her head and then shifted to give me a kiss, "Okay, get up you lazy bat. Seriously, it's noon, I have been up for four hours and so has Midnight. We're about to head out to lunch!"

Sparks whined softly, "But sleepy and warm..."

"Outside is cold and horrible and light and that's where the stupid ponies are!" I agreed with a groan against Twilights mane..

The other alicorn nodded and cuddled closer, nuzzling in beneath my chin.

Sunset facehooved as she got up, "Oh for...up! Up!" she said and bounced on the bed, "Twi, get up! I'm hungry!"

I groaned and then sighed, forcing my eyes open to glower up at the cheery unicorn, "That's it… Sparks, wanna dump the unicorn and get together instead?"

"Right now, yes," Sparks grumbled before she pulled back and rolled onto her stomach, yawning as she raised her wings high before she struggled up to rub her eyes with a hoof for a second. She then sighed and leaned in to give Sunset a small kiss, "Pest."

Sunset kissed back a bit smuggle before she poked my side, "You too!"

I glowered at her before sitting up and suppressing a yawn, blinking to try to clear them before I shook my head and gave her a small kiss too, "...Good morning to you too, Sunny," I said before I suppressed another yawn, "Uhm... you said something about food?"

Sunset nodded with a smile, "Was talking to Midnight and we were thinking we'll all head out for lunch? Pick up Tempest on the way."

Sparks nodded, "Sounds good," and turned her head, nosing along her wing and starting to work her feathers into order before she sighed, "I need a shower first. How long do I have?"

"Less than if you got up when I did."

"Fine!" Sparks exclaimed and sighed, jumping off the bed, heading for the bathroom.

"I could actually use one too," I admitted, flexing my wings, "But I'm not getting wet before going out when it's freezing out, magic drying or not."

Sunset scooted up and sniffed at my neck before she shook her head, "No, you're good. You smell a bit like Twi though. Have you been sleeping with my girlfriend?" she teased.

"You're not as funny as you think you are," I told her, resting my horn against hers as I looked into her eyes.

"Yes I am," she said with a smile as she met my gaze, "So?"

"...So," I admitted, "It hasn't been fair that you bounce between me and Sparks. I can just as easily join you two some nights, assuming you can stand my stupid sleeping shedule once things go back to normal."

Sunset nodded, "I think we can deal, wingboy."
