It's been ten years since the Storm King's attack and the founding of Twilight Sparkle's school of friendship.

Scootaloo finds herself part of a loving, caring adoptive family, but sometimes finds herself worrying that she doesn’t fit in, or isn’t capable of doing her part to earn their love. This lends her to taking up the position of store manager of her family’s newest shop, in Manehattan. However, she can’t work all by herself, now can she?

Enter Alexei Crofter, the only Human in Equestria.

My own little spin on the classic HiE story, avoiding all the "Anon" and second person perspective stuff which, while I don’t dislike, I can't write worth a damn.

NOTE: I originally intended to have this be a full length, as in multi-chapter, story, but I intentionally wrote the first chapter so that it could hold water as a stand alone story, in case my writer’s block got the best of me. Well, with this particular tale, that has happened . . . for now. I may yet continue this universe in future stories. But, for now, here it is. Consider it a small gift, I guess, to those who might care.

Seven years ago in the middle of Canterlot, under the light of the full moon, the world changed in ways it was not supposed to. Lovers were torn apart, and a pair of new ones were brought together. Through trials and tribulations, Shining Armor and Vinyl Scratch fell in love.

Now? They are still in love, but cracks are forming. Stress and work regularly cause divides, and Shining disappearing into a mission his grandmother tasked him with isn't helping. Everything seems to be falling apart, even Canterlot itself.

Traditional Crystal Pony belief holds that many of their heroes come from the days before the Crystal Empire was founded, the days where noble houses rose and fell as easily as the sun rises and sets each day. And when those days ended, these heroes disappeared, becoming myth and legend.

The Crystal Ponies believe that their heroes are not dead, but rather slumber in tombs, to be awakened at a later date. However, many heroes faded into obscurity and the scrolls holding the locations to their tombs hidden away by the Crystal Emperors. Because of this, save for times of great need, these tombs go unfound.

For the Ponies of Equestria, the tombs belonging to these heroes of Crystal Pony legend are the subjects of great debate, and archaeologists search them out, seeking both the treasure and hero contained within each one.

And for one Royal Guard lieutenant, one of these heroes could be the break she needs...

Silence.EXE was always a loner, tending to research the GrimDark on his own. That is, until the Princess of Friendship and the Element of Loyalty pay him an unexpected visit in his own home.

But his troubles only grow as an old box of tape recordings he found in a box on the top shelf of his closet proves to be an outlook and possibly a portal into a world of horrors that should not exist, one that seems very familiar to Silence... And very horrifying to Twilight...

After Sunset Shimmer moves back to Equestria after gaining alicorn status, she and her pony friends go on random adventures.

Our budding group was well on it's way to becoming the premier criminal Organization in the land. We had powerful connections, and we weren't afraid to target the most secure locations in the city. Even the Institute. The oldest center for magical studies. And contained within was an ancient and powerful stone. It turns out that more groups besides ours had a vested interest in obtaining this artifact. They were even willing to destroy our organization, kill our friends, and send us on the run: fugitives from the law, and thirsty for justice.

Spoiled Rich keeps her family under an iron hoof. Filthy Rich has learned to work with her, but Diamond Tiara has a much more difficult time with the manners and behavior expected of her, as she's just a filly. She knows the rules, and she abides by them as much as she can, but she doesn't like them.
Sometimes she needs a reminder why they behave in such a way in their house.
In our house, we are the best.
