From there we're moving on to the one-shot chapter Polarity which is pretty much an SOL chapter for character development and background. It's basically the entire second act wrapped up into one convenient arc. Act 3 is where the true extent of Maria's power is revealed, so be ready for that.

She's only interested in the research protocol, not in providing the only treatment which has worked for me, so I'm being kicked out of the program entirely.
