It's not unusual for Rainbow Dash to have to protect her owner, the farm mare Applejack, even at the cost of wounds and fear. The Pegasus owes the orange pony her life, but the latter has never been too fond of her company. After being rescued by Rainbow during a fierce attack, though, Applejack is forced to get to grips with her hidden feelings towards the rainbow-maned soldier...

A one-shot dedicated (once again) to my all-time OTP, this time set in an apocalyptic Alternate Universe which I may or may not expand, depending on my inspiration and time to write.

We all know how the story goes. About how Twilight found and united the Elements of Harmony and defeated Nightmare Moon, preventing the world from going dark and giving Luna a chance for redemption.

However, what if one of the Mane Six hadn't been a normal pony but a monster that was shunned and feared by others? How would the story have gone?

Follow us now as we tell the same story, only this time Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness is not a normal pegasus, but instead is a gorgony. A creature with snakes for a mane and can turn any creature to stone with a glance.

Out of all the mythical creatures I have read about my top favorite are vampires and gorgons. So I was greatly dismayed when I saw how few stories there were that had actual gorgon ponies in them, here on FiMFiction. Thus I decided to write this little fic. I hope you all enjoy.

While I only intended to cover the first two episodes of the show (the pilot episodes), if enough people are interested I may try to create some more stories with Gorgon-shy based around other episodes in the series.

Since the golden oak library was destroyed by Tirek, Twilight now lives in a charming little building near the canterlot castle.

It is surrounded by an absoloutely stunning garden, the beauty of which can barely be described by words.

What really makes her life there pleasant though, is that she gets to spend it surrounded by the ponies she values most.

.... is that right?

Huge thanks to my editor Nugget, who was not only a pleasure to work with but also completely overhauled the story and brought it to life the way i wanted it to, but couldn't achieve on my own.

JSF F-35B Pilot, Captain Lisa "Sapphire" Johansson was shot down and killed by Russian Su-98s, at least that's what the records state. In all actuality that's not what happened, through seemingly divine intervention she wound up in Equestria, which happened to occupy a totally different dimension and was accessible by use of an extremely advanced and complex spell that was placed on amulets, allowing access through use of an incantation.

That divine intervention was in the form of two Wonderbolts, Spitfire and Soarin. The former was investigating the possibility of using areas of Earth that had little if any human population for training Wonderbolts. While Soarin had accompanied her up into the Great White North of Canada, in the year 2020. However it happened to coincide with the Russian Invasion of Canada to claim the oil sand deposits.

However, after rescuing Sapphire from her downed F-35B Lightning II, they discover that her injuries are incredibly severe and that it would be impossible to get her to the nearest town on Earth to receive medical treatment. They make an incredibly tough decision, one that changes Sapphire's life forever.

Despite the incredible change to both her physical body and species, Captain Johansson isn't about to let a second chance at life get away from her. After all, rarely do you get a second chance to continue living.

That is if she doesn't go insane from the daily insanity of a certain small-town near the capital of Equestria.

Note this is a crossover with the novel Tom Clancy's Endwar.

After being embarrassed by Rarity at the Grand Galloping Gala, Prince Blueblood swears revenge against the mare and seeks out an new ally to help him with his plans.

However can he muster up enough manners to turn an old enemy into such an ally? Or will his pride stand in his way?

While I can't summit this story into my gorgony story contest (It wouldn't be fair considering the fact that I am a judge), I figured nobody would mind if I tried to write a story, by the same rules for my own personal enjoyment.
