During an attempt to escape from her lunar prison, Nightmare Moon unwittingly pulls something into her dimension that doesn't belong. In doing so, she sows the seeds of her own defeat. Now Luna must deal with the consequences of her other persona's actions.

An Ender's Game crossover exploring common themes of regret and redemption, this story takes place parallel to Seasons 1 and 2. Knowledge of the book is NOT required.

Thanks go to the wonderful and talented Companda for creating a beautiful cover image. The FIMFiction-sized version really does not do it justice. Please take the time to view it on DeviantArt by clicking the source link; you'll be amazed at the level of detail she put into this picture.

20-year-old Ryan Burbank is living with his girlfriend in their woodland home when he is struck by a mysterious infection seemingly out of nowhere. To everyone's horror, his sickness spreads quickly throughout his body, shutting him down one piece at a time. The doctors are at a loss of what to do about this new form of bacteria. Ryan and his loved ones choose to keep fighting until either a cure can be discovered...or the pain becomes too much.
At the height of his suffering, he discovers a happy little show while watching television in his hospital room. The bright colors and happy attitudes of the cartoon equines provide him with a much-needed escape from the daily pain of being killed from the inside.
Eventually, the pain becomes too much and he decides it would be better to go out surrounded by his family, in the embrace of those who kept him company throughout his short life. Just as he starts to fade, his eyes wander to the screen of the hospital room television and the cartoon ponies who adorn it. Something strange begins to occur...almost like the screen is pulling him in. Tunnel vision, maybe?
No, that can't be it...why can he hear his name being called by a very familiar voice? And why is she...crying? Who is this crying, familiar voice and why does she seem to know him?

Spike the dragon. Personal student of Princess Celestia. Sharp. Attentive. Currently on a four-week study bender of rare, foul-tasting slugs. Not the kind of creature you would typically find at a seedy Canterlot dive bar on a Saturday night.

But when his assistant, a rambunctious unicorn with a penchant for punk rock, inadvertently ruins his experiment for a night of wild partying, Spike takes it upon himself to reign her back in. Being family means fighting fires you didn’t start. And this unicorn seems determined to start as many as possible.

Pre-Season One Alternate Universe. Heavily inspired by Jenna Starbright’s, “In Shade, We Rest.” Proofread by Miller Minus. He's a champ!

Theodor Pichler knew joining the Barrow Observatory's winter crew would be a difficult position. He thought he knew the danger--freezing temperatures, gale-force winds, and terribly spotty broadband coverage. What he didn't expect was for an experimental new telescope array to interact with an unusual storm and send him screaming helplessly into the sky.

Instead of falling to his death, Theo landed in an alien world, populated by colorful horses he can't understand. What's worse: the body he landed in isn't his own, and he's not sure anything is where it should be. Having wings might be cool if he didn't have to be naked all the time...

With limited supplies and no help from the Observatory, Theo has to somehow navigate this new land, making new friends and encountering terrible dangers along the way. It will take all his cleverness, and a healthy dose of luck, if he's ever to be human again.

This story was a commission for Lucky Ray on my Patreon. Feel free to PM me if you'd like one of your own. It was edited by Two Bit and Sparktail. Coverart by FoxHatArt. Where chapters have art, it was done by Jasper.

Zutcha was here too.

Ronald Lee is the systems administrator for one of the largest fan-made online games in the world. Though nothing new has been produced for MLP for decades now, fans old and young continue to flock to the online version of Equestria they're building together.

Of course he knew that the programs they wrote would grow more intelligent over time. With cheaper hardware and better AI, this was always expected, and a user experience allowing for content similar to the show to be produced in real time for every user was always tantalizingly close.

Then Starlight Glimmer started talking to him.

This story is a prequel to Synthesis, and doesn't require knowledge of that story. You may want to check it out when you're done here, however.

This story was commissioned by Two Bit, who also helped edit because he is an absolute mad lad. Sparktail helped too.

A large corporation in Manehattan hires you to fulfill the Diversity and Inclusion goals and reach the target numbers on the key metrics such as the absence of gender and racial bias. They specialize in customized spell solutions, distributed enchantment systems and cloud mana storage: three things that you, a human, didn't know even exist.

To their surprise, you are not entirely useless.

This is an RGRE (Reversed Gender Roles Equestria) story. You were warned.

Huge thanks to Vayne Hellslinger and SirReal for helping me to make this stuff more readable.

It's been a while since you've been here, you barely remember the place. It's been a while since you've seen your friends. It's been a while since things looked normal. It's been a while, but you're back.

No one else is.

This was just written as a one-shot thing that came to my mind after watching PrinceWhatever's Solidarity (In This Together) music video. It made me kind of existential with regards to the fandom and I figured I'd use that energy and put it into writing.
I wrote the whole thing in one sitting over the course of a few hours and I started to kind of lose some steam partway through. I've never written anything sad or in the second person before, so this was a neat experience. If you find anything out of place, be sure to let me know!
