The tyrannical Shadow Stallion oppresses Equestria, coating the land in a thick layer of clouds, tightly controlling the population. Three children, the unicorns Celestia and Luna, along with a Draconequus, Discord, must live up to their fate. They must find the Elements of Harmony and take up their rightful place as Equestrias new gods and saviors.

Episode tag/companion to "Discordant Harmony". Written in second person for some inexplicable reason. In the course of trying to make sure Fluttershy is impressed by his tea party, Discord discovers some things. Some of them are good things. Some of them are very much not.

Fluttershy has never been happier. She is happily married, and feels she is surely living the good life. She waits each night for the return of her husband, ever so patiently...

I know this story won't be everyone's cup of tea. I worte it, and it's the kind of story I wouldn't normally touch with a ten foot pole. However, once it entered my head, I knew I had to write it.

Fluttershy returns from the Grand Galloping Gala with Discord at her side. Emotions peaked, she starts reflecting on the events, realizing that maybe she did things too. Was Discord really the only one who did something wrong?

They start to talk, and Discord eventually proceeds to ask an extraordinarily odd question that Fluttershy didn't expect to hear.

This story is a sequel to Detente

Discord takes Fluttershy to see something chaotic he's made that he thinks will be considered harmless and beautiful -- rain made out of light. Fluttershy agrees, but fears that ponies won't accept it anyway. They discuss friendship, and Fluttershy comes to some unwanted conclusions regarding her own feelings. One-sided, mild Fluttercord.

This story is the bridge between Princess Twilight Sparkle Endcaps and Elements of Opposition. To those who have not read the story before, and who like happy endings: don't read the second chapter. It leads directly into Elements of Opposition, and is the main reason the story has a "Sad" tag.

Things are hard in Ponyville for Fluttershy and Discord; mainly because of Discord. But when magic starts to go on the fritz and eventually starts failing altogether, it's up to the main six and the Draconequus to find out what's causing it and, more importantly, how to fix it.

This would be a lot easier if anypony trusted the King of Chaos to begin with, but with bigger problems on the horizon, some things will have to wait to be dealt with. Like trust. Or loyalty. Or friendship.

Of course, sometimes what we think isn't important to deal with right now, is exactly what's needed to prevent things from getting far, far worse.

Fluttershy has a nightmare.

Twilight, Discord and Spike are on Earth. Except it's Antarctica. And Equestrians lose their magic on Earth. And it's very, very, very cold in Antarctica.

Sometimes I get impatient with how long I write and how long it will take before I get to a part I want to write, and then I write it anyway. (Which is why I'm calling this Eating Dessert First; it doesn't have much to do with dessert, no more than my other fics anyway, but it's me writing the "good parts" first.) This is a compendium of snippets from future parts of my fics, or single-idea scenes where I don't know if I want to write the rest of the fic, or character practice scenes -- basically anything pony that's out of its larger context, assuming there's going to be a larger context.

Because this is a compendium, it's tagged Random because literally any other tag (with the exception of Second Person, which I will probably never write in) could be included. I'll mark individual chapters with what tags they ought to have and what characters are in them.
