After discovering King Sombra planning his latest scheme in their clubhouse, the Cutie Mark Crusaders soon learn they have a lot more in common with the tyrannical King than they might've thought.

It is the Summer solstice, and what ought to be the longest day of the year. The sun should have risen over three hours ago. And yet the moon still hangs in the sky, and the Mare in the Moon is gone.

How does Queen Chrysalis react?

Centuries have passed since Twilight Sparkle became a princess of Equestria. Yet her rule came at a great cost, and long after her friends have gone she lives on. That lonely fact has been slowly killing her, yet she has always stuck by the ideals she and her friends once stood for. One meeting could challenge that however, and make her wonder whether or not she can truly call herself the princess of friendship.
