This is a direct sequel to my previous fic The Quandary of DisQord and is, of course, another Star Trek: The Next Generation / Friendship is Magic crossover. This time, however, Q has decided to bring the crew of the Enterprise-D along for the ride as well.

This is a much lighter story than Quandary was (since Quandary was the story of Discord's reign prior to his first defeat, it was bound to be a bit on the dark side). Also, be warned, though I tried to keep them to a minimum, there are still a few references to and spoilers for Quandary in this fic here, so I'd obviously recommend reading that one first before reading this one. Though, at the same time, this one is hopefully self-contained enough that you wouldn't necessarily have to read Quandary first in order to understand anything, if you don't care to.

Also beware, there is a bit of very mild one-sided shipping between one of the ponies and one of the humans, but nothing super serious or squicky or anything like that. And the Discord/Celestia ship from Quandary is touched upon again, of course. Just thought I'd mention it here, in case someone might be turned off by that sort of thing.

This is a Star Trek: The Next Generation / My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic crossover fic (though it's mostly just a FiM fic since none of the Star Trek: TNG cast except for Q show up, though a few are briefly mentioned). The frame story is set immediately after the TNG season 3 episode "Deja Q." The story being told to Q2 (who is simply called "Q" rather than "Q2" in the fic itself) by Q is about Q's existence as Discord from his first arrival thousands of years before the events depicted in the play in "Hearth's Warming Eve" up to the end of "The Return of Harmony."

The three main characters are Q/Discord, Celestia, and Luna, and there is much star-crossed shipping between Discord and Celestia. The main 6 from the show only appear near the end and don't play that big of a role outside of a partial retelling of "The Return of Harmony" from Q/Discord's point of view.

Celestia's parents are based upon fanart that can be found on DeviantArt ("Little Princesses" by SpyrotheFox, the original creator of them, and "just keep flapping" by egophiliac), though their names are ones I came up with myself.

This story takes place in one of the countless alternate worlds of Equestria. Here another version of Discord comes into contact with Truth, the mirror into parallel dimensions. There he sees a world where he rules over Equestria with the Mane Six as his minions.

The joys of creations are a wondrous thing, the endless possibilities and the countless influenced by the wonders of those who fight to see their creations live and reach out to them.
But sadly, there comes a time for everything to fade away...

Once upon a time, in the land of Equestria, two royal sisters rules over the kingdom and created harmony for everyone. To do this, the elder raised the sun at dawn, an the younger brought out the moon at dusk.
One day, the elder realised how much her subjects relished and enjoyed her sister's night, but shunned and hid away from her light. Running out of ways to make them love her warmth and light again, she decides on one final resort, but at a great cost. Everything shall burn.

Discord is beaten, but it's the scars you can't see that take the longest to heal. Let us begin. The mane six, along with all of Ponyville, has to deal with the emotional damage done by Discord's day of chaos. One by one the heroes (and every other pony in Ponyville) must look into themselves and find the strength to face the flaws in their hearts that Discord exploited and become stronger for it.
