Starlight Glimmer was a latchkey filly whose father tried to smother her with affection as a foal. When she left home, she made a lot of mistakes. It wasn't until she went back home for a friendship mission that she realized something important: The meaning of unconditional love.

Gabby and Gallus go on a quest to find something to eat. Unfortunately for them, citizens of Ponyville seem to have a completely different ideas about food.

Starlight and Trixie have just gotten back from a very brief roadtrip to Saddle Arabia that didn't pan out. The trip may have been a bust, but their friendship still stands.

However, the two unicorns soon find themselves confronting an unexpected visitor, Starlight's father, Firelight. He's come to Ponyville to see his daughter, largely because she hasn't visited him in months.

For Trixie, this is the first time the magician has ever encountered any family of Starlight's. But Starlight worries that her father might unintentionally embarrass her in front of her friend. Are her fears justified?

And what will Trixie think of her best friend's father's... unusual behavior?

At her worst, Vignette Valencia cared nothing about reality, seeing it as little more than her personal plaything.

There are many ways to make someone care about the world around them. Destroying their phone is one, but suppose the Rainbooms took an alternate approach...

In the middle of attempting to ruin Starlight's tenure as headmare of the School of Friendship, Discord's business takes him to Maud's class. She looks to be an easy target. But considering Maud's apathy towards him, he really should've known better.

Takes place during "A Matter of Principals".

Trixie saw it first, and then so did Twilight: Starlight has a problem, and it all leads back to her childhood. Something inside still haunts her and keeps her from truly fitting in. But when Trixie arrives one morning to mooch a free breakfast and propose a silly plan, Twilight never expected it to send her beloved student running from the room in tears.

The only way to deal with this will be for Starlight to confront her childhood fears, but this time, she'll have Trixie by her side. Still, all the planning and checklists in the world can't prepare Twilight for where this will lead them. In the end, all of their lives will be changed.

Please note that as of season 8, new additions to the canon have shunted this story into alternate universe territory.

If there's one thing that Starlight Glimmer struggles at, it's controlling her emotions. While she's better at it thanks to her lessons with Twilight Sparkle, there are still times where she feels close to unleashing a barrage of screams. And with her past still fresh in her mind, Starlight is fearful that her behavior may push her toward terrible decisions again.

Much to Starlight's luck, a new cafe was recently opened in Ponyville that promotes friendly chatter and sharing feelings with new faces. The aptly named Friendship Cafe might be Starlight's chance at expressing her concerns without having to wait for Twilight's meeting with Celestia to finish up. However, when Starlight is partnered up with Spitfire, the latter quickly piques her curiosity.
