The Great Equestrian Foam Sword Fight is a fabled event that happens once every fifty years. To win the event, one must incapacitate another pony using the most dangerous weapon known to pony-kind.

The winner of the event is also said to win untold riches that nopony knows about. With everypony trying to win those riches, the strongest bonds will shatter, the dirtiest of tricks will be played and all bets are off. After all, there can only be one winner.

It is also one of the few times were a pony can legally knock out another pony using a piece of foam.

As I wake up, my head aches and my throat burns. Where am I? How did I get here?

Blurry memories of pain and suffering fade in and out as I try to identify my surroundings. There is a vague familiarity to the place but I don't know why.

I begin to ask myself many things. What am I doing here? Where is "here"? Why can't I remember anything? Why can I not even remember my name?

All the same, I can only manage to recall but a few precious memories. Something is very wrong with this place. And my friends—friends whose names I do not even remember—are in terrible danger. Something very bad has happened to this place and everypony in it. My body becomes cold and I am denied every other thought except for one:

I must escape.

Will little Twilight be torn apart by the fire-breathing creatures that rule the night, or will she rise above the lie of superiority and work towards reinventing her being?

AN: Just a story Ink and I dug out from the old files in his computer to try and get something done while he recovers, enjoy.

On the night before Nightmare Night, Pinkie's week long visit to her sisters, Inkie and Blinkie, outside of Nowhere, Equestria is nearing a close. With their parents out of town, they have the farmhouse all to themselves, and Pinkie is ready for an epic farewell party. Yet at this time every year, spooky things tend to happen in Nowhere... when the fog rolls high in the eventide.

And is this the only reason Pinkie's sisters wish her to leave early?

~Meant to be spooky, not gross and gore-filled. No, you don't need to know anything about Courage the Cowardly Dog to enjoy this. Come yonder! Any 'crossover' characters are ponified - as in - having existed in Equestria since birth.

And now, among the living, are seen bearers of the accursed Darksign. Those doomed to die, again and again, until their minds fade away and they turn hollow, forever seeking the souls of others for nourishment, in a futile attempt to regain their lost memories and lives. But there is now only one way for their suffering to end. Celestia must be slain, so that the Age of Dark may take its natural turn.
