Shortly after Twilight Sparkle became a princess, Celestia approached her former-unicorn student to explain the situation to her.
Here's how it went down.

The royal couple, Celestia and Twilight, have known each other for a very long time, ever since Twilight was a filly. Now here they are, in a committed relationship and Twilight is now pregnant.
They thought they were safe. After defeating Starlight Glimmer, the once ruler of a town in which everpony was equal and obeyed her every command, they thought they wouldn't see her again. While it's true they wouldn't see her again, but SHE sees them everyday, especially her main target: Twilight Sparkle! Join Starlight as she tries her best to get her revenge against the princess of Friendship... and fails miserably at it. Yeah, it turns out, they are safe from her, they just didn't know she was there the whole time.

Luna, Celestia, and Cadance often have meetups to discuss what plans they have for Equestria. Unfortunately for Luna, she seems to be the only one to take these meetings seriously.
During one of these meetups, discussing what to do with the new found alliance with the Yaks. Luna finally has had enough of her sisters, and nieces shenanigans.

Celestia never got the appeal of games. She knew Luna occasionally played them but her question was what was the point of them? After chasing her sister off of her new gaming console Celestia decides to investigate.
When Sonata Dusk said she had a boyfriend, Aria Blaze expected to be able to tell her how stupid he was and watch as she ran off crying. However, after meeting him, Aria finds herself crushing on him. Thus, she resolves to get them to break up and take Dusk Shine for her own!
Yeah. That's not going to happen.
