A thousand years ago, after learning the magic of friendship, Scorpan betrayed his evil brother, Lord Tirek, to protect his new found friends and to keep peace across the land of Equestria. To protect the innocent, make new friends, and imprison his brother...would become Scorpan's biggest mistake.

He now rules his kingdom and has brought peace to all that he's been associated too. But as the lives of his old friends pass on and his actions become old and forgotten stories, one thing still lingers on his mind: How much he misses his brother. it's a pain that only he can understand. Because of this, he no longer knows if he made the right choice all those years ago.

In the catacombs of the underworld, a plan is unfolding. One that will leave one brother imprisoned for his crimes. But there is something about walking away free that doesn't seem right to Scorpan.

Why was Tirek able to escape from Tartarus despite his weakened state? Perhaps it's because that was the plan all along.

After Tirek had been defeated by Twilight Sparkle and her friends, he was stripped of all the magic that he had stolen from everypony and sent back to Tartarus to be imprisoned.

Days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months. Months turned to years. Years turned to centuries.

However, even after all that time, Tirek is still alive. He lies defeated and broken, yet he still refuses to give in.
His hatred for her will not allow himself to surrender to his fate and let that purple alicorn win. So he continues on, driven, his anger his only anchor against the darkness and solitude of his imprisonment.

It seems like Tirek is locked in more than one cage.

A story written as a series of 100 word drabbles. When Tirek took Twilight's magic, he also took something else this is that event, and the aftermath. AU ending to the season 4 finale. Rated T for carefully worded character death.

Just in case anyone is confused (and because I could only add 5 character tags) Other characters involved are Shining Armor, Twilight's Parents, and Spike.

Actions have repercussions, and Trixie wants to make sure certain negative ones don't come through.

Takes place between chapters 4 and 5 of Griffin Over The Line, loosely set in RainbowDoubleDash's Lunaverse.

Just because a city flew in the sky did not mean it would escape Tirek's endless hunger for power, as the cloud city was soon to learn. It was in the chaos of his attack that Cloudsdale came to realize that magic is more important for some ponies than for others.

For instance, the pegasi needed it to walk on clouds.

And to fly.

For a father separated from his daughter, that flight is more important than ever.

Tirek moments away from victory now sees an obstical in his path...Scorpan, and he begins wondering why? Why is he fighting him? Why is he here, face to face with him. What is he going on about?

Scorpan realizes that now is the time, he has come to the realization that he must stop his brother before all is lost.

Fluttershy is chosen to visit Tirek in Tartarus and warm him up to the idea of talking to his brother, Scorpan, again. While she's there, she figures she'll try and uncover and understand his motives for his previous evil actions, but this plan might not go down as smoothly as she wants it to.
