This story is a sequel to If I Could Catch Fuzz In a Bottle

Twilight Sparkle enlists Rainbow Dash's help in a "Fuzzy Muzzle Nuzzle" research project. The experiment only has three steps. That's not too much to ask of a close friend, is it?

You have been tasked with the job of watching over Rainbow Dash in her cloud house as she nurses a hurt wing. Initially, Dash is not very happy about this, but over time, both of you learn to make the most of the situation and learn what you can about each other.

Then, as Dash begins to open up, she reveals what's really hurting her deep inside far more than the wounded wing. Together, you and Dash will share what matters to you, as she reveals just how much she has been hiding her true self from others all along. You will help Dash see just how beautiful she really is. And in turn, you'll feel what it's like to experience love from the most beautiful mare in all of Equestria.

Twilight Sparkle is lonely and is determined to change that.

She’s had her eyes on Rainbow Dash for a while, but she doesn’t know how to truly express her feelings. No books were able to properly explain how to cope with her feelings of love, leaving her frustrated and confused. She has tried dropping subtle hints here and there, but Rainbow is oblivious to her advances and Twilight is too nervous to spill her heart out to her.

So she waits, spending many months devising a way to get Rainbow to see her more than just a good friend. Given a set of perfect circumstances, Twilight is finally able to put her plan into action. Now, Twilight might finally be able to see if she can turn her friendship with Rainbow into something wonderful.

Applejack has had it up to here with Rainbow Dash's sleepflying. Rarity attempts to lend a hoof.

"Twilight, did I ever tell you the real reason why I returned Peewee to his nest?" Spike asked.

But Twilight Sparkle was asleep, so her apprentice saved the question for another day... a day that would never come.

When Dash went to the Cutie Mark Crusader clubhouse to see if anypony was around she found something she wasn't expecting at all. It was a note from Scootaloo, detailing some of her past and her inner anguish. Scootaloo had been holding back far more pain than anypony knew and one way or another, she was going to end it at Ghastly Gorge.

My first attempt at a sadfic, inspired by my own feelings of depression and worthlessness. I decided to write my feelings out instead of wallowing in self pity. It was also written at 2AM so forgive any mistakes. I did proof read it but you can never be too careful. Decided to rate it teen for the suicidal subject matter.

As the years drew on, Spike's childish heart grew into that of a true adult, longing for the finer things in life; the finest things. He pursues his relationship with Rarity, but all does not go as planned.

Filled with anger and sorrow, Spike and Rarity fall away from one another. In his grief, Spike pursues new interests, and their friendship is in danger of never recovering.

But perhaps the truest words in life are these: you do not know what you had until you have lost it. Jealous and alone, finding no comfort in stallions she once loved, can Rarity reclaim her one chance at true love, before it is too late?

Pinkie Pie has always just been Pinkie Pie: outgoing, happy, and blissfully innocent.
