The wedding between Cadence And Shining Armor is perhaps one of the most bittersweet moments in recent Equestrian history. Even so, time has seen love conquer the bleak moments of the event and the villain of the story on the path to reformation; time though has not healed the deep wound left by the event which is something Celestia is hoping to see done. Chrysalis and Cadence come face to face, with family at their sides, in an effort to both move on.

Gallus wants to ask Silverstream to the Amity Ball their sophomore year without embarrassing the both of them to death. Silverstream wants that, too, but neither of them has any idea how to even talk about what they want without causing the aforementioned death by embarrassment.

Fortunately, the Spirit of the Tree of Harmony wants to help. Though "fortunately" might be the wrong word...

However, things have changed, and now other grown-up changelings can take care of their own young.

Ocellus, one young changeling who's spent all of her life in a nursery, will leave to be taken care of by two grown-up changelings, her actual parents. How will she cope with this change?

Ever the avid learner, Ocellus spends much of her free time, even when back at her home, studying as much as she can. And this devotion has made her the pride and joy of the Changeling hive, so much so that she receives an unexpected visit from none other than Thorax, her King.

With the date of her return to the family rock farm looming, she begins to question whether she should return to the gray world she has always known, or stay in Ponyville and pursue her dreams and newly formed relationship.
