Princess Celestia was looking for four young ponies to share in the experience of a lifetime, a trip to outer space. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are up to challenge, but an accident grants them fantastic powers and they decide to use their new abilities to explore the unknown and mysterious.

But when a ruler of an old race of sub-aquatic ponies come to Equestria to seek revenge for their destroyed city it's up to these Fantastic Fillies to defend their home.

This is a cross over with the Fantastic Four comic books and shares it's universe with The Amazing Spider-Pony. It's not necessary to read ASP before reading this, but it does explain a few things.

Yeah, after looking at kilala97's stuff I finally caved and decided to try and write a story about her OC characters. Since Starburst's special talent is "intimidation", I thought: "Why the hell not, make that mare a Fear Lantern!" and so here we are.

This story is a sequel to Upheaval: Breaking Point

Following the events of Breaking Point, Twilight Sparkle and her friends discover that Equestria's demise may not come from an enemy invasion, but from within. The Barrier Lands and the Heartland begin the slow and uneasy process of reuniting into a single Equestria, but this long-delayed joining is already in danger at its conception.

With Celestia's power in her grasp and her agents by her side, the wheels of Black Rose's plans for Equestria's future continue to turn. However, her brazen gamble has done more than just bring down a centuries-old barrier. Ancient powers begin to stir: the remnants of a dark period in Equestria's history, the immortal inhabitants of Celestia's homeworld, and a rising tide of darkness coming ever closer.

Trying to protect her father from the leader of Manehattan's criminal underworld, Mr. Fiscal, she dawns the guise of the Black Cat. However Spider-Mare gets in the way trying to stop Diamond from making choices she can't take back. Who will win in this game if Cat and Spider?
