When Scootaloo learns what the Ancient Pegasi did to their foals that couldn't fly, she's afraid the same fate awaits her. A trip to Cloudsdale with her idol Rainbow Dash teaches Scootaloo what her life is really worth. (A response to Rainbow Factory)

"We have to be brave now, Scootaloo," Dash said. "Just close your eyes, and it'll be all over by the time you open them again."

Rainbow Dash is given the chance of a lifetime- to compete in a tournament that will determine the next Wonderbolt. But nothing is ever as easy as it seems.

When your homelife is as tumultuous as mine it's just not something you wanna share with anyone. it's embarrassing and it's nothing anyone wants to hear about. Thats's why I never told anyone the real story about what goes on at home.

Fluttershy makes a casual remark about Dash to Twilight, which starts a shift beyond friendship for the cyan pegasus and the librarian.

Scootaloo has a job as a flight instructor in Cloudsdale and a cloud house of her own. She doesn't have a special somepony, but she's cool with that. Just a normal life for a normal young pegasus, until a streak of rainbow turns her life upside-down.

After all, could she really resist the chance to train for the Best Young Flyers competition with a Wonderbolt? Could she turn down an offer of no-strings-attached passion with the most awesome pegasus in Equestria? Is there any way she could not fall in love with the shining idol of her foalhood?

When the Wonderbolts auditions approach, Twilight realizes that Rainbow's dream threatens to separate them. With the risk of losing Rainbow becoming all the more real, Twilight has to decide which is more important: Risking Rainbow, or risking Rainbow's dreams
