Applebloom is awoken at night by a loud sound and sees Applejack running into the trees of their farm. When Applebloom decides to sneak out and follow her sister, she nearly loses her life in the process and nurses a wounded Applejack. What occurs afterwards is a realization that brings the two siblings closer together as Applebloom begins to ask questions pertaining to death.

Somepony had to create the Elements of Harmony. In the dark days of Discord's rule, Celestia called upon Vulcan, a minotaur blacksmith of legendary renown, to put harmony on his forge and hammer out a weapon with which she could defeat Discord. After Discord had been defeated, Celestia discovers he has also created a set of elements that oppose the Elements of Harmony. Vulcan is branded a traitor and is doomed to be imprisoned far, far away from Equestria. He has only one final request: to explain to the Princess why he created what he calls the True Elements of Harmony.

Ever since Bon-Bon left for a new life in Manehatten, Lyra's life has lost its focus. She gets up, she goes to work, she eats, she goes to sleep. One day she knows she's going build up the courage to tell Bon-Bon how she really feels about her and they can live happily ever after.

That day will never come. Something terrible is happening in Equestria. Something that could be the end of the world. The Smooze has arrived and no-one can stop it, not even Twilight Sparkle. What hope then does Lyra have?

Since these dreams began, she has been bed ridden and Spike has been helping her through it. After one extremely terrible night, Spike sends a letter to Princess Celestia begging for assistance. What he learns and what he experiences from that moment on will forever change his perspective of the world around him. And who knows, maybe he will make a new friend along the way.

Discord has been turned to stone by the power of the Elements of Harmony, but his consciousness has been left uneffected. Now powerless, he can only observe the events around him and think on his past life.

Hoity Toity is a stallion of few words, save for those that he uses to criticize his workers with. He designs custom outfits for his models, keeps a trained eye on them and holds his emotions rightfully hidden. He's seen his fair share of beauty, of stallions and mares constantly competing to strive to the limit of their pretty looks and youthful faces. Control is key if he wants to thrive in the business that he's ensnared in. "Never fall for the models that you design for", as the saying goes. It's his mantra, the only philosophy that keeps his lonely heart far away from his work.
