There is a problem plaguing Ponyville. For countless fillies and colts, every single night is filled with visions of their greatest fears, and it always seems to be at the same time: just after midnight. There are even rumors of a dark world where Ponyville is shrouded in an impenetrable darkness, and everything is still, as if time itself has stopped. While parents brush it off as part of their childrens' nightmares, the real nightmare for Ponyville is about to begin...

Cornerstone, a new resident of Ponyville, would prefer to simply continue his work building and designing homes, rather than dwell on these rumors. Unfortunately, when a pair of murders rock the town, he and a certain six mares and dragon assistant all find themselves drawn into the mystery of this other world. Thus begins the race to find its origins, as well as the murderer using it for their own nefarious purposes. And it all starts with a single question:

"Just who are you?"

"Why, you're me... and I'm you."

Time in Ponyville has broken. Everypony is dealing with it in some way or another—except you. You're fine, somehow. Oh, and me. I suppose that's where things start. Let's be on with it then, shall we?

The Ponyville Playhouse presents a bold and inspiring new interpretation of the immortal classic, Hearth's Warming Eve. Music! Adventure! Intrigue! And a few surprises!

During the pause between Seasons Three and Four, let's remember where we began and how much our friends have grown.

Ivory spires that put to shame the mountain they're grafted to. Thousands of lives perched on a slab of iron bolted to the side of a cliff, with an artificial sun doin' its best to warm the shadows underneath. Then there's the cybertech changin' the face of ponykind, rubbin' right up against magic the likes of which the world ain't seen for centuries. This, all of this, is New Canterlot. A magical place, in the dangerous way. Everythin' you ever dreamed of, and everythin' you ever feared. For what it's worth, good luck out there... I think you're gonna need it.

One of these creatures, Lord Noble Eyes, is a bird in need. To accomplish his mission, and to save his murder, he must come into contact with six mares.
But how does communication work, when both sides are so different?
Everything is a matter of perception.

On the day of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's wedding, Princess Celestia left Twilight a message saying that she should prepare herself if something happens. The next morning, Twilight awakens to find that all of Ponyville has succumb to a blinding fog. She must now travel a monster-filled town in search for her teacher and friends and try to return Ponyville back to the way it was.

The following transcripts are of a journal found in Ponyville on April 16th of this year. The last recorded contact with the town had been 3 days prior, on the 13th, when a team under orders from Princess Celestia was sent to look into several missing pony reports in the area. When another group of investigators were sent on the 16th, the town was found deserted. The journal’s owner is believed to be the princess’s personal student, Twilight Sparkle. None of the town’s inhabitants have been located in the weeks since.

(This is a bit of an experiment based on the worldbuilding concepts presented in AnonAuthor's Xenophilia [[NSFW] - caveat lector!], which intrigued me enough to want to take a closer look. It's likely you'll be very confused by this unless you read at least some of Xenophilia. Updates will appear as and when an idea pops into my head for a thing to add. And fair warning, some of this might come across very dry and dusty. Thank you academia!
