Ever since they were little colts, the Flim Flam brothers had a dream; a dream to make a wondrous machine to set their lives on the fast track to success. The machine, known as the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, was missing just one component to make it all complete. Just one elusive item that no sane pony or pony with values would ever consider using:

A pegasus from the small cloud town of Aeropolis searches for his sister. His search leads him to Ponyville, where he finds more than he was expecting.

Both Sour Apple and Dream Wings have different reasons for needing to go and stay with ponies in Ponyville.
Sour has to go and spend time with his cousin Apple Jack and her friends despite his instant dislike for every pony around him. Dream Wings on the other hand needs to see a very old friend from Canterlot in order to hide from a creature that she has hidden in fear from every day since she was a young filly. However will these two new ponies be the one thing that manages to split apart the Elements and harmony, and consequentially the kingdom, forever? Or will they be the one thing that can stop the nightmare during daytime?

10 Years ago, before the Mane 6 gained their cutie marks, the apprentice travelling merchant Tinker Trader came to the town of Ponyville to open up trade contracts with a few residents. And there in that sleepy hamlet, his merchant's eye view of the world was brushed aside by those ponies there as casually as drawing a breath.

Now that he's back, those challenges may prove the end of everything he thinks he knows.

A story that will grow in the telling, of friendships, and of discovering them anew, worth far more and far deeper than what was ever thought possible.

In order to understand the present, we have to look to the past. And there's no past as great as the rise of King Alicorn and the Keepers of Harmony. With love, war, discords, caves, mental institutions-- and, most importantly, the first magical friendship-- it was certainly something Celestia would never forget.

Lost, alone and scared. The three words that sum up Scootaloo's life now that everything has changed. With no cutie mark, no crusaders to back her up, and all of these murders going on around Equestria, how is the older mare going to cope with being the only 'sane' one left in Equestria?

It's so unfair. It's unbearable. And the loss of life keeps growing and growing until there may be no more to tell the tale.

One by One truly is the lonliest number.

The image of the black-coated, red-maned alicorn is an old and powerful one, synonymous with treachery, narcissism, and being kind of a ponce overall.

On Nightmare Night it is said that, during Discord's reign, Equestria was nearly saved by such an alicorn, wielding amazing powers, only for said alicorn to demonstrate a really big superiority complex and basically lord it over everypony else. After a year or so of constant petty annoyances, this alicorn was overthrown (to great applause) by a group of commoners led by what turned out to be Discord wearing a skirt. (This sort of thing was actually fairly standard for the time period, but for whatever reason, this particular event wedged itself firmly into pony folklore and wouldn't leave.)

Certain books in the dustier sections of the Canterlot archives, if perused for information on said alicorn, would mention several unconfirmed sightings of this alicorn throughout history. Every one of these sightings, however, allegedly ended similarly to the original event in the Age of Chaos, insofar that the alicorn in question apparently was incredibly annoying and eventually disappeared without a trace.

Ebony Redwood, the Ponyville mare living in the house with the bluish shingles, has heard the legends many times, and doesn't much care for them. Most ponies assume she's simply tired of all the unfair prejudice leveled against her just because her colors make her look kind of like a B-list superstition, and they'd be right.

Four thousand years is enough time to get tired of hearing things you like, after all.
