The past hurts, and no one would deny that. Everypony has a downside in their life, good or bad, but talking about it can be difficult, and for Rainbow Dash, its just like that. Her friends know nothing of it, and guilt is taking her over. Many have noticed her change in attitude, but none would dare say anything. But when her friends step in, could they help her? But more importantly, can Rainbow bring herself to tell them about it?

Luna hates herself, she hates the pony she's become, she hates how she hurts others, especially when it's her sister,and she's sick of the nightmares and the guilt, and she can't take it anymore. Will Luna do the unthinkable or will the pony she cares for the most stop her and remind her of how much she is loved.

Rated T for suicidal thoughts and a bit of gore but not much.

Though it has been weeks since the Elements of Harmony have purged Nightmare Moon from her, Luna is wracked by guilt and depression. Though the Elements purged the nightmare, they cannot purge the feelings of guilt and self-loathing, nor can they heal the scars wrought by jealously, anger, rage and madness. Though everypony forgave her, Luna cannot forgive herself and seeks penance through suffering.

My thought process on this follows, I tried to put myself in Luna's figurative shoes when coming up with this story and how would I cope.
The inspiration for this story come from the songs Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, Long Hard Road Out Of Hell by Marilyn Manson and my own personal struggles with mental illness and self harm.
