Inspiration is a fickle thing, Rarity knows this. She’s known it her whole life, it’s part of being an artiste after all. Some days you create for hours on end, bringing to reality countless gorgeous designs and art pieces that until a few hours ago, existed only as abstract thoughts in the mind. 

Other days, you simply sit and stare, unable to conjure the slightest idea.

Rarity has been in a slump lately, she recognizes that, but how long is a ‘slump’ before it becomes a new reality?

What if she simply can’t create anymore?

Pinkie Pie is super excited to stay at Applejack's for Hearth's Warming so she can finally catch Santa Hooves coming down the chimney! Though, when she finds out that Applejack doesn't believe because of a lack of presents, she has a bit of a change of plans.

In an unfortunate work accident, Calamus--a weather pegasus--has lost his hearing. His lifelong friend Syrinx volunteers to teach him Pegasus Sign Language, and in the process the two learn more about each other than either expected.

On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

It doesn't take Rainbow Dash long after her promotion to the upper Rainbow Factory to figure out just how tough the work really is. There's a lot to learn about weather manufacturing, a lot to learn about the culture of where she works, and a lot to learn about herself in the process. Her most important lesson, however, is the value of songs and those who sing them.
