Twilight is trapped amongst the wreckage of her home. Her magic mysteriously gone, she is unable to save herself. Rainbow drops everything to rescue her marefriend.

It seemed like a good idea at the time; I was somewhat dead for one thing. She was offering... that was another thing.

Now I'm stuck with her for as long as we're in this thing together... until my task is complete and until she claims my soul for good.

I've still to work out whether that is still a good idea or not... considering who she is.

Author's Notes: Welcome to a new thing. I totally did not rip the general idea from Black Butler... honest. Except that it'll (hopefully) be done better in this... which isn't going to be hard honestly.

Twilight has been waiting and waiting for a new letter from Rainbow Dash. The Pegasus had been off fighting in the war that broke out across Equestria, however, she is killed in action.

When Twilight finally receives a letter, it isn't what she's expecting.

A series of short, unrelated vignettes featuring Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash’s budding relationship. It’s supposed to be quite sappy and slice-of-life-y. I intend to release more chapters as I find time to write them, and I have a list of themes and situations I’d like to explore. Rated Teen for kisses, displays of affection, etc. There is no continuity between chapters unless explicitly stated.

Several weeks into Twilight Sparkle’s training to be a princess, she still hasn’t found a captain for her royal guard. Frustrated with her lack of progress, she goes for a flight to clear her head. She’ll discover the solution to her problem is hidden behind the clouds of a carefree sky.

Princess Celestia, the governess of the sun since time immemorial, has been slain in cold blood by the darkest of magics. They will learn of wondrous magic and strange technology that the remaining souls are using to sustain them through the endless winter. This is the tale of light and dark, life and death, loss and rebirth. All in a quest to leave a fire for tomorrow.

With her official audition for the Wonderbolts only a week away, Rainbow Dash has been pushing herself far beyond her limits, and it's beginning to take a toll on her body. Fortunately, Fluttershy has just the solution for the stressed-out pegasus: a tried-and-true method of relaxation that's worked on her for years.

And she's determined to try it out on Rainbow Dash, no matter what.

Twilight decides to write a free-verse poem for Rainbow Dash while she is away.

Rainbow Dash is dead. And while the death of the hero of Ponyville was a chock to all, the one who took it worst was her marefriend Twilight. She will not accept the fact that Rainbow is dead, and devastated by sorrow and loneliness, she turns to her books. Unfortunately, she finds comfort in probably the worst book possible. The diary of the scientist with the worlds worst reputation.
