For about two weeks, Rainbow Dash has not been paying any attention to Scootaloo; even avoiding her, or so the orange filly thinks. Scootaloo feels as if she is not wanted and or that she is not good enough for the blue pegasus. She goes on a journey of self discovery, hoping... praying... that what she believes to be true is just a misunderstanding. On this soul searching journey she finds that things are better than she could have ever imagined. And worse.

Scootaloo still doesn't have her cutie mark. She still hasn't found what makes her special. And she's slowly getting left behind. What will happen when her friends move on? When her idol can't help her? When her parents give up? What happens when life becomes too much for one filly to handle?

Excited for a long awaited flying lesson from Rainbow Dash, the lone Cutie Mark Crusader Scootaloo hates to admit that she's disappointed when Rainbow never shows, again, for the seventh time.
Wandering in a saddened state, she doesn't even realize how far she's gone until the blackened sky opens up and starts pouring down rain, leaving the trail back to Ponyville impossible to follow home.

Scootaloo has never told anypony that she is an orphan, that her parents one day decided not to come home. She has been on her own since she was very little. She has learned to fend for herself, care for herself, and doesn't want help from anypony, including her best friends. It isn't until a certain purple unicorn learns the truth and takes her into her home that Scootaloo realizes she needed help from somepony a long time ago.

Please do not ask if you can continue this story. The answer will be no.

Princess Luna adopts Scootaloo. Set after "Sleepless in Ponyville." and about a month after "Magical Mystery Cure" which means she gets a mother in Princess Luna, an aunt in Princess Celestia, and a babysitter in Princess Twilight. Plus Scootaloo is chosen as the future Princess of the Night.

Scootaloo enjoys her life, she really does. What is there not to love? She has an amazing role model/sister figure, awesome friends, and of course, the scooter that makes up her life and blood. Shoot, she even has an awesome family with a great home...well two homes technically. Nevertheless, Scootaloo has come to enjoy everything she has. With summer break coming just around the corner, there shouldn't be a single thing that should keep the filly from being happy other than the typical teasing from Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Still, the young pegasus can't help but feel that something's missing.

Then, she is given a chance, a chance to fill that void she's been feeling. A chance to bring back the life she used to have...

With the help of Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, will she be able to grab this opportunity, or just let it slip?

When Scootaloo gets tired of being picked on and alone what will she do to end her pain, who will get her back on the right track. Will she find love in the process or will the world crumble in her hooves.

"It still feels like a dream! I get to fly with Rainbow Dash!"
The dream may continue on, as Scootaloo gets heartbreaking news about Rainbow Dash getting accepted to the Wonderbolts academy.
