After a gruesome accident, Spitfire is left alone and blind. The severe nature of her injury lands her in the hospital, despite her wishes. All she wants is to leave the institution and go back to do her part in the war, but a new roommate with a grave injury of her own forces her to learn that, despite her recovering eyesight, there’s more to a pony than what she can see.

Written for Bicyclette’s Crackship Contest, started as an entry for the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting Crackship Contest as well (and then like decupled in length into the current story.

Cover art: Yet another screenshot edit made by yours truly :P

You'd think that the super-confident Sheriff of Maretime Bay would have an easier time asking somepony out on a date. But Gloomy Sonnet is no ordinary mare.

Rarity is getting older. She tries not to think about it most days. She usually suceeds! There's just one problem; one nagging thought that won't leave her head no matter how busy she is. She's running out of time. For as much as she's accomplished in the world there's still one thing missing from the perfect life she dreamed of all those years ago: a wife. A ring. A promise, in sickness and in health, to love and be loved in return.

Twilight Sparkle may have hundreds of years but Rarity does not.

Written for a contest ran in a friend's server where it placed second and was read and enjoyed by my friends, whom I love and care for a great deal. If you do not have a group of creative and caring people to share your art with I would recommend beginning that search posthaste; there is no greater joy than sharing your art with people you love and who love you back. This story was edited by one such friend, the quick-witted Supreme RariTwi Scholar themselves; Undome Tinwe. Cover art credit to Taikochan.

Nightmare Moon has been gone several years, but not gone for good. And when Luna asks Twilight for help in ridding her of this curse, the Princess of Friendship decides to forgo magical rainbow blasts in place of a far more relatable approach.

Tonight, they're gonna paint the moon red.

Everyone always tells Twilight that the ones who love us never truly leave us.

But that's a lie. It's always been a lie.

Things that live must also die. It's simply the cycle of life, and that cycle doesn't care about love or the pain it causes.

Until one day, that cycle is broken by a forgotten figure from her past: a little tortoise who's not so little anymore.

This story is, first and foremost, a gift for the incomparable Mushroom, who clearly must be some sort of undiscovered species of fungus dog since we definitely don't deserve her. I have it on good authority that this story gave her Many Feelings, and I hope it gives them to you, too. :)

This also won first place in the of the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting '2021 Gift Fic Exchange' contest portion, which is neat.

Cover art commissioned from the lovely Shaslan!

This story is a prequel to But Would Anything Matter?

Littered around Ponyville are stains of blood, an’ more an’ more bodies. Ponies I knew. Ponies I called friends. Ponies who will, dependin’ on how much of ‘em is left, probably get up and do the same to anyone else left alive. I wish I could stop it, but I can’t bring myself to desecrate their bodies like that.

Everypony who was able to evacuate is gone, I think, an’ all that’s left is me an’ Dash an’ the other… the other things that are lurkin’ about.

Written for a Quills and Sofa’s Speedwriting Panic. The prompt was Fangs!

I think I could stop here myself and do miracles,
I think whatever I shall meet on the road I shall like, and whoever beholds me shall like me,
I think whoever I see must be happy.

While taking a break from helping Rarity sew uniforms in the workshop, Sweetie Belle meets a foal about her age.

Originally written for the Quills and Sofas Random Acts of Kindness 24-hour Speedwrite. The prompt was "There are no strangers; only friends you haven't met."

Rainbow Dash thought she knew her friend Cloudfront. She thought she understood at least most of what went on in his anxious little head. She thought that being someone's best friend meant you knew everything about them. Turns out there was a lot she didn't know and a lot more there to love.

Change can be scarier but love makes it just a little easier.

Written for the Quills and Sofas Trans Pride contest where it won third place. Based almost entirely on a comic done by the incredible spectralunicorn, from whom I got permission to use the art. Editing done by Kim.

I felt your shape. You felt my size. We understood each other perfectly for a moment. Our separation, while necessary, hurt more than any pain that would follow. It is only by being apart that we might create a world to hold our love. It is only by being hurt that we may heal, again and again. I think I would rather be together in the true sense of the word than to love you like this.

Wrote this for a gift exchange for a server I'm in as a gift for Seer. Edited by Kim. Cover art is a commissioned piece from Slime. For the full reading experience, please read the formatted version over here before reading the two separate pieces. The story was an experiment in using formatting as a character in and of itself.
