There are some things that one cannot do to another without at least becoming friends with them, and that includes saving their lives. Back when Rainbow Dash did so for the Wonderbolts at the Best Young Flyers' Competition, even she had no idea that it would be the start of a beautiful relationship.

Four years on, and the Element of Loyalty herself is to be married. As she and her family prepare for the wedding, she recalls how it all began, and how much her relationship with Soarin has developed since that eventful Best Young Flyers' Competition.

This story is most defiantly not like that.
Rainbow Dash has lived her entire life knowing that she was to be promised to a now stallion from the clan house of Caelum to fufiil a contract made between her house and their's upon her day of birth. Now at the age of 21, Rainbow has finally made it to the day where she meets the Stallion she will then marry moments later.
Rainbow is Loyal to the contract she was forced into and will play the part she has been assigned, yet as time goes on she finds something...good in the stallion whose family tore her from the life she once lived.

Btw this story is undergoing a rewrite for all those who had read the original, I'm going over and tweaking the story that I made my sophomore year with my horrible grammar and writing can better fit into the story I am writing now, so it will indeed change and chapters will disappear, but please comment on what you think.

Behind the ears. The hardest place to scratch on the pony body. When Soarin is invited over to Rainbow's house only to scratch behind her ears, things turn from awkward to... well, extremely awkward.

The war between the night and the day grinds on. Ponies on both sides face horrifying odds in a seemingly endless war. For Rainbow Dash and Soarin these facts are too real. Despite this fact, the two ponies managed to carve out a small space of calm in the midst of all the chaos. But nothing is guaranteed on the battlefield especially when duty and compassion run against each other.

Soarin feels so terrible for the way he and the others treated Rainbow that its affecting his sleep.

Maybe a leisure flight in the night will help clear their minds...

Rainbow Dash, the girl who's usually 'too cool for school', would never admit to ever liking someone. Especially someone who she believes she has never met before.

Nevertheless, she instantly befriends someone named 'Sky High' as her online persona, 'Daring Dash'.

She'd never have guessed it was her best friend, Soarin Skies.
