On their six month anniversary, Twilight and Celestia were enjoying themselves when a power surge drew their attention to the Tree of Harmony. To their shock and horror, the second they arrived the tree began to glow so brightly they were forced to turn away. When they were able to see once more, there were two fillies asleep under the tree; both had wings and a horn. Not sure what else to do, Celestia lifted the fillies onto her back. Once she climbed the stairs, followed by Twilight, she was very glad they were on her back and not within the grasp of her magic. The Palace of the Royal Pony Sisters was gone and the Everfree Forest was bright, filled with the sounds of birds' singing.

Twilight and Celestia stared at each other in shock. It was apparent that they weren't in Equestria anymore.

Make a wish on a shooting star and watch your dreams come true...

Being a princess is the highest honor Twilight could ever ask for, but even she can't help but miss her old, simple life studying inside the library. Part of her wishes she could just cast aside her crown and wings to rejoin her friends in Ponyville.

One night, while watching a meteor shower, a shooting star streaks across the moonlit sky. Twilight forgoes her usual logic and finds herself uttering her secret wish...

The next morning finds Twilight more than overjoyed; her wish had been granted! However, she was not the only pony affected. Realizing the ramifications of her rash actions, Twilight seeks to fix what had gone wrong. Under the watchful eye of an unexpected mentor, she must court her own friend to get close to her in the royal court and reclaim what has been lost.

Twilight receives a letter out of the blue that reveals a secret she's been keeping from her friends, a letter that conveys the condolences of a family friend. What hidden meaning does it carry, and how will Twilight deal with the responsibility that comes with it?

After Twilight's grim duty is completed, the mane 6 travel out of the country on a diplomatic mission to the Griffon territories and find trouble on the way.

Twilight Sparkle's entire life started off simple, then it got a little complex with the arrival of her ascension, with time, she adjusted to her title and she couldn't be happier living her life as royalty (despite some minor problems). Celestia was proud of how far her student had come and she wished that no secrets were to be kept from her... but that also meant one of Equestria's oldest known secrets.

Celestia asks Twilight to move back to Canterlot for a year to work on her magical research, and to help her get better adjusted to life as a princess of Equestria. With all her friends being very busy, they'll barely have any time to see each other any more. Well, all of them except one. After all, what kind of Element of Loyalty would Rainbow Dash be if she didn't make time to be with her friends? But both of them will quickly learn that life doesn't leave much time for traveling, and distance is a hard thing to fight.

What's it like trying to keep in touch with the ones you care about only through writing?

A story about trying to deal with distance and love.

Twilight Sparkle is a normal pony.

As normal as a pony can get as Princess Celestia's personal protogé, The Element of Magic and being the Savior of Equestria twice over that is.

She lives in Ponyville and is the librarian of Golden Oaks Library, she is the best of friends with five of the greatest mares in Equestria.

She is not some extremely powerful unicorn who has to closely monitor how much magic she has so as not to destroy anything by accident, she is not somepony who has infinite arcane knowledge at her disposal.

And she most certainly does not have Runes covering her entire body from horn to hoof.

Twilight has always been the best there is at magic. She's won dozens of scholarly competitions and tests of skill in Canterlot. But when it comes to the more violent uses for magic, she is essentially clueless.

When she meets a strange unicorn in a seedy bar, he introduces her to a little known sport that will test her knowledge of magic in different ways. That is, of course, if Twilight can't resist its primal lure.

A long time has passed since Twilight and her friends first discovered the Elements of Harmony, and she has since become a full-fledged alicorn princess. In that time, she's done many great things.

But the one thing she hasn't done is tested herself. She's never seen the full extent of her powers.

Growing bored of Equestria, and seeking the ultimate challenge, Twilight decides to see just how powerful she really is by attempting the impossible.

But I haven't done anything wrong, have I? Anything to deserve to be punished? Being framed? Is that a crime?
"You are banished from Equestria,"
Why would they all just give up on me? I know the truth, but they refuse to hear it. Why won't they just listen?

Sunset Shimmer still doesn't fully understand how the magic that transforms her and her friends works. She's close to figuring it out though, or so she thought. When a magical "fluke" occurs during a band practice, will the girls, along with the Twilight of their world, be able to figure out what happened, and will they be able to fix it?
