After attempting to impress the judges during her entrance exam for Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, something transpires that alters Twilight's life irrevocably, as well as the destiny of all Equestria. In a very literal manner, Twilight metamorphoses into the embodiment of magic, much akin to how Discord embodies chaos. How will this unprecedented transformation shape forthcoming events? And how will Twilight grapple with mastering the newfound god-like abilities that have been unexpectedly thrust upon her?

Sunset happily takes on all her marital responsibilities, even when it means getting up in the middle of the night to have a long, comforting talk with her wife.

Sunset has done a lot for the humans in this magicless world, and she rightfully deserves a break from all the bullshit. Sadly, some random ancient threat seems to disagree.

Twilight has had a very eventful week: Fighting Tirek, getting her home blown up, defeating Tirek, and getting a nifty replacement home would already be pretty exciting on its own. But now she has been summoned to Canterlot by Celestia, who has some big news to tell her.

After long consideration and no small amount of pestering from Luna, Celestia is about to grant Twilight access to the files of the Equestrian Secret Service so that she and her friends can be better prepared for future threats to come.

What will Twilight learn in the depths of the archive? Surely nothing that could shake the very foundation of the friendships she so painstakingly built in her new home ...

A little story I used to put my headcanon about how time works between the main series and the Equestria Girls sub-series. It's a discussion of why Sunset is so young despite being older than Princess Twilight, as well as why timeliness don't always match up between the two.

Years later, former world-saving hero Sunset Shimmer has been trying to help others embrace Equestrian magic on Earth. This winter, it's by assisting a couple college freshmen do well in a start-up college fair-slash-competition with magic as its gimmick.

But her routine breaks when an old friend comes up at work, looking for good company and someone to talk to after the holidays. And it won't just be about catching up with friends...
