Just when you think your feelings cannot drag you down any lower, however, in trots your favorite rainbow-haired pegasus.

You expected a dull day — but instead, you got a colorful one.

While doing your morning walk routine in a grassy field near Ponyville, Rainbow Dash, the pony you've best known since you arrived Equestria, hits you right in the face, but this unexpected accident is going to make your relationship go a step forward.

When she finds herself no longer having a place in the world she's grown accustomed to she travels back to her homeland of Equestria to figure out who she is and where she belongs. What she finds is a land and people irreversibly changed by time.

Twilight Sparkle now rules over this new Equestria. It is a time of peace and prosperity for the entire world, so why does the Princess seem so sad?
Figuring out her own problems, an entirely different home than the one she grew up in, and her increasingly complicated relationship with Princess Twilight could be the most difficult thing Sunset Shimmer has ever done.

Rarity has always been one to see all the details in her line of work. She's supposed to, since she works in the fashion industry. She's always been able to make sure that her work is almost perfect; except for one day where she makes one crucial flaw in one of her creations. As a result, Rarity begins to doubt herself and begins messing up on each and every new dress or piece of clothing that she makes. This leads to her fearing that her days of being a fashionista are over and done with. This is where you came in, to help her gain back her confidence and to not let the fear of failure get to her. And as you begin to help her, she starts to feel something for you that she hadn't before.

Author's Note: This was made specially for you Sonata Dusk 29! Because today is my birthday, I decide to write down a new story and publish it today! This is a gift from me! Also, this is inspired by a dream of mine. Hope you enjoy it!

While preparing for a week away in Canterlot, Rarity rediscovers the Fire Ruby that Spike had given her the day before his birthday, which not only brings up some fond memories, but also brings her to a startling revelation - she's in love with him! But can a pony really love a dragon? That is the one question that strikes fear into Rarity and holds her back from confessing her feelings to him. Her own friends may approve, but surely the upper class of Equestria won't.

Throughout her trip, and the week leading up to it, the white unicorn mare finds herself struggling with her emotions, trying to decide whether to embrace her new-found love or just let Spike down gently. But along the way, all her friends are there to reassure her and offer their advice. While all this is going on, however, Spike notices Rarity's erratic behaviour, and takes it as a sign that she doesn't even want to be friends with him anymore; so he decides to try his luck with somepony closer to his age...

Spike has tried to become the perfect knight; unfortunately Rarity rejects him. His cries of anguish do not go unheard in the moonlit night. Luna comforts the ailing dragon however her hurting heart yearns too. Meanwhile Rarity realizes what she is missing and sets forth to undo her mistake. However, as Spike gets closer to the Night Princess intrigue is sure to follow.
