Applejack is facing a dilemma. She's been asked a question by her best friend that she doesn't know how to respond to:

“Applejack, do you want to go on a date?!"

She decides to ask her friends for help, one by one, and learns more about herself and the connection she and Rainbow Dash share together.

Rainbow Dash is having an excellent day - that is until a desperate thirst drags her from the sky and into a mess that may take more than simple magic to cure. Can real love bloom amidst the kerfuffle, or will shenanigans reign supreme in this tale of epic cliches and awkward matches?

Look, I heard you the first time! Yeesh, I wish you'd stop staring at me, as if you're reading my thoughts. 'Cuz if you could, then you'd know that while this is the first thing I'd want to do, it's also the last! I mean, horseapples, things would be a heck of a lot easier if I'd known ahead of time that Twilight and the rest of the girls had only packed three sleeping bags instead of six for this mountain hike! For realsies, if you had any friggin' clue how many restless nights I've spent thinking about you, fantasizing situations like this, then you'd know... you would freaking know how impossible it is for me to actually... sh-share a sleeping bag with my totally not-sexy-in-any-way best friend... (*ULP*) ... overnight... s-so that we could keep our bodies warm in the cold, cold forest. Grnnnng! Alright... alright! I'll do it! Of c-course I'll do it! I'm awesome! I'm not afraid of anything! After a day on the farm, Rainbow Dash finds the opportunity to ask her long-time friend, Applejack, out on a date. The farmer, however, finds difficulty accepting the proposition, given her reserved social nature and unknown feelings on the matter. Given that the pegasus has been her friend for years, however, she accepts, deciding to see just what they can make of it. Can the two carry a relationship in the midst of personal worries? Can they find the courage to tell their friends?

Rainbow Dash begins looking for romance, seeking advice from all of her friends, But Applejack's a little on edge, and nopony seems convinced that Rainbow knows what she's doing. Will this end in heartbreak or a happy ending? And will Princess Celestia ever get to banish somepony to the moon?

A violent, unexpected thunderstorm wakes Rainbow up in the middle of the night. Unable to do anything about the storm but unable to sleep, she has nothing to do except lay in bed and think. Ponies, Ponyville, her job, her friends, and the differences between Loyalty and Honesty - not all of them always make sense.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been together for more than a year now. Their relationship has blossomed through Discord, a changeling army, and a whole hoof full of crazy situations and dumb mistakes. They've managed to form a partnership and learned to work out their problems together, not an easy lesson for two tough, stubborn ponies.

But now Rainbow Dash is convinced that their lives are getting boring, and if there's one thing Dash doesn't like, it's boring. So Dash has set out to make her relationship with Applejack more interesting. . . and AJ's not so sure she likes that sound of that.
