Well, it would be if she wasn't cooped up amongst the upper-class of Canterlot.

Taking matters into her own hooves, Rainbow Dash breaks out an old costume and goes to show the Canterlot elite what a real nightmare night is like.
Little does she know somepony else already has the same idea...

Rainbow Dash decided to practice some of her flying tricks late at night. When Soarin, the love of her life, come by, She tries to impress him.

Flash Sentry returns home to Ponyville after a lengthy tour of duty in the Crystal Kingdom.

He is not alone.

Princess Twilight Sparkle travels to the Crystal Empire to visit her brother, Cadance, and their new foals, Il Bolero di Fuoco (better known as Bolero), and Gleaming Shield. When her train ends up derailed due to the snowstorm, she ends up somehow trapped in an ice cave, in a raging blizzard, with none other than Flash Sentry. Can these two star-and-dimension-crossed lovebirds thaw out the chilly Frozen North with their love, or are they doomed to freeze to death wandering aimlessly through the snow and hail? When Shining Armour finds out his sister's going out with a royal guard, can he accept it for the love that it is? Or will he totally flip a table?

The song "Vanilla Twilight" belongs to Owl City.

BEFORE ANYPONY ASKS, YES, "IL BOLERO DI FUOCO" MEANS "THE BOLERO OF FIRE" IN ITALIAN. I LIKE TO PLAY ZELDA GAMES, SHUT UP, GO AWAY, IT'S A BADASS NAME FOR A PONY.

And, though left unsaid, the most important one of all: "Know your place."

Although Flash Sentry loves Twilight, she can never know of his love. She can never return the feelings. It wouldn't be proper. After all, social order is more important than fulfilling one's own wishes.

Alternate Universe tag is due to the existence of a caste system in this story. Please keep that in mind as you read.

This fic was inspired by the picture, and the title came from it as well. The picture and title do not belong to me. I would like to thank Hikariviny for drawing such a wonderful picture. It inspired me to write the single best thing I've ever written. I don't wanna sound modest, but this story is the one that's most likely to be featured out of all of my stories. Twilight has just gone through eye surgery, and needs to recover. Which means her eyes are covered and she can't see. Without anything to do, she can only wish she could read a new book she's been reading. And somepony is there to grant that wish.

One day in the Crystal Empire, Shining Armor is asked by both his fellow guard Flash Sentry and his sister Twilight Sparkle for love advice. Being the kind pony he is, he helps them both. After all, it can only be a coincidence. What are the odds of a connection between them asking for love advice on the same day?
