> Luck or Destiny? > by PaladinColt > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Is it Luck, or are we Destined? > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The night was calm; the stars shone brightly in the sky and the moon, though not full, made enough light to illuminate the darkness. This night was more special than other nights, for it was the night of the wedding of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Lieutenant Flash Sentry. On their first night as a married couple, the two made passionate love, enjoying the company of each other, never wanting to part, becoming one flesh in their union. The night lasted long for them, their moans echoing throughout the Crystal Empire. All became quiet when they had reached their climax. Twilight lay her head on Flash Sentry's chest, both of them lying on a huge bed in a special room prepared for them in the Crystal Castle. Both of them were sweaty, their wings still opened, but slowly closing as they began to relax and feel the afterglow of the love they made. The young Alicorn's horn was still growing, a sign that she had climaxed. She snuggled herself into the pegasus' chest, being careful that her horn would not poke her lover. In response, the young lieutenant returned a hug to her, enveloping her with his hoofs and bringing her closer to him. "I love you, Flash Sentry..." said Twilight, softly as she recovered some strength after the sex they had. "I love you too, Princess..." replied the Pegasus. Twilight gave an irritated smile, giggled, and replied, "How many times do I have to tell you? Call me Twilight!" "I'm just playing with you..." replied Flash, giving the princess a kiss on the nuzzle. "Besides, now that we're married, doesn't that make me a prince?" "Sort of." With that, Flash lay his head on the pillow and looked at the ceiling. The smile on his face grew smaller as he descended into deep thought. Twilight saw this and asked, "What's the matter?" Flash stayed silent for a while, thinking of what to say. He looked back at Twilight, his smiling lips growing down to normal and replied, "I just can't believe it..." "Can't believe what?" asked Twilight. "This..." Flash continued. "I mean... who'd ever thought that a guy like me would end up marrying a princess like you?" "Don't think yourself fortunate." Twilight replied, sharing the same contemplating mind with her newly wed husband. "I was just a regular old unicorn before; I never knew that I'd become a princess." "Well, you deserve to be a princess. After all you've been through that I've heard of; Nightmare Moon, Discord, Sombra, and even that new world where you met that... err... 'human' counterpart of me." He paused for a while, now with a small frown on his face, "Before I became a guard pony, I was just a city-colt, nothing much interesting in my life. My life was pretty much like anypony's life. When they began to recruit colored stallions into the royal guard, I took the opportunity to make a difference for myself. I did not even anticipate that I was going to be an officer assigned into this Crystal Empire. And when I first met you, we simply bumped into each other. I only found out later that you actually had a crush on me, and I sorta had one on you too. I was really surprised that we were able to hook up... So why did I have to be so lucky?" Twilight saw how deeply confused her lover felt, and, placing her hoof under his chin, replied, "Don't be so hard on yourself. Before all those adventures you said I've been through, I was so secluded. I didn't have any friends at all except for my brother and Princess Cadence. I didn't even want to make friends, but Princess Celestia insisted that I do so. And even when I did make friends in ponyville, I was never the best friend for anypony, and I still feel that I haven't achieved enough knowledge about the magic of friendship, even with me becoming a princess." She paused for a while, then continued, "You can say that, before I met you, I still felt incomplete." Flash's face turned back into a little smile. He took Twilight's hoof from his chin and kissed it. "Do you think it's destiny?" he asked, blushing with a small embarrassing smile. Twilight giggled, but then thought for a while. She had remembered that time when she and her friends had gotten their cutie marks; she was sure that her friends and she were destined to be together, to wield the elements of harmony, and to bring peace and protection to Equestria. Maybe it was the same with this pegasus she was snuggling with now. "Yes..." she replied, enlightened by her thoughts. "I do believe it is destiny." With that, Flash began to smile again; the same cute smile that made Twilight's heart melt. The two looked into each other's eyes, feeling the love they felt for one another by the mere stare of their eyes. "I love you, Twilight..." "I love you too... Prince Flash Sentry...." The two laughed at the corny joke the alicorn had made before closing in to kiss each other deeply. They then fell asleep, blessed under the calm night that shone over. This was just the first day of many that the two would spend together for the rest of their lives; a life that they would live out of love forever. Elsewhere, Princess Celestia watched over the same night that the newly wed couple were sleeping under. A tear came into her eye as she recalled everything that had happened to her most faithful student. It had all come to this; the young princess had now grown up. No words could express how proud she was, and nothing could have made her more prouder.
