Fifty years into the future, Sunset Shimmer is Princess Twilight Sparkle's most faithful student. She is smart and eager, but doesn't always think things through. Her life had been perfect, right up to the End of the World.

With a ruined future, Sunset travels into the past to alter the course of history. With only her mentor's cryptic word to go on, Sunset and the Elements of Harmony must solve the riddle of the Dark Regalia and stop the mysterious Vesper Radiance from rising to power. But the further Sunset goes, the more she feels like she's been through it all before.

Is destiny set in stone, or can Sunset shape her own future? Only time will tell.

She's done the simple Rainbooms choreo, the square dancing with her family, the silly free-styles with her friends. But today, Applejack wants to try something a bit different, something she'd never expected to be interested in.

You would think attending Canterlot High would teach her to expect the unexpected.

The world has been dying for as long as the Enchantress can remember, reduced to little more than a desolate expanse of sand. And yet, she keeps walking, for she knows she is the last hope of the world.

When mares from extremely different worlds arrive in her desert, the Enchantress is forced to reexamine everything she thought to be true. There will be stories of monsters, books, ghosts, gods, stars, machines, and ponies who have not lived most of their life in a world approaching the end. They must come to terms with their vastly different experiences in a tangle of alternate worlds no one is prepared for.

The multiverse is a big place, and this small corner of existence has just received some unwanted attention.

Before the presentation, Silver Spoon was ready to laugh at Granny Smith and mock Apple Bloom mercilessly. When the presentation was over, she was the first to applaud the wizened old mare. On the surface, this is just a simple gesture and nothing more. After all, everypony else liked Granny Smith's story (except for Diamond Tiara). What makes Silver Spoon's applause so different other than the fact that she was first?

Believe it or not, there is an answer to that question. Because to Silver Spoon, that simple gesture carries a lot of meaning, even if nopony else notices it...

The Tears of Gaia. An artifact of unmeasurable magical power from the Ancient Days, when the Others ruled the land. If found, they would be the discovery of the century!
At least, those are Twilight Sparkle's thoughts. But something is stirring in lands to the south. Soon she will find that she and her friends are not the only ones who are after the legendary Tears. And so what starts as a simple research trip is soon to escalate into the greatest journey of the young ponies' lives, filled with new friends and foes, incredible danger and great adventure!

NOTE: While I do appreciate all comments I get on this story, I would personally prefer if they could say a little more than the typical "Awesome chapter, I love it!" or whatever. What do you love about it? What struck you in this chapter? What would you like to see explored or expanded? Are there things you don't think are working and if so, how could they improve?? Peace never lasts long in Ponyville. A day beginning with relaxation, party planning, and plenty of research into ancient history soon turns south with the disappearance of Discord and the arrival of a mysterious mare devoid of emotion bearing a dire message for the Princess and her friends.

An ancient being is about to awaken, threatening all of Equestria. Will the Elements of Harmony be able to stand against this new threat, or will they fall just as she did?

Applejack abandons her pie deliveries out of worry and goes back to check on her little sister who's home alone. As a result, she winds up acting extremely over-protective to Apple Bloom, to the point of stalking her.

But what if, instead of sneaking out to make the pie deliveries herself, Apple Bloom snapped and said something in a fit of anger that cut deep into her sister's soul?
