This story is a sequel to Tears in the Snow

Storm Blitz is displaced from his home in Cloudspire after his special talent causes several pegasi to become severely crippled. His adoptive father, the renowned politician Proud Skies, sends him to live with his grandfather in a gated off community for retired Wonderbolts. When his grandfather suddenly passes away, he goes to the only remaining relative he has, his earth pony birth father in Ponyville.

For the second year in a row, Octavia has had the same, sweet very special somepony. They've been through a lot together, even with others' harsh criticism. Their love is unbreakable, and their spirits will always be connected.

After the Gala, and Pinkies stunt with the Poney Pokey song, nopony will take Ocvavia seriously as a musician anymore. After weeks of hunting for a job and living off anything she can scrape together, she finds a very successful nightclub which is looking for new employees. A job is offered to her by the new owner of the club, Vinyl Scratch, and she takes it without a second thought. At first all they are are coworkers but Vinyl soon realizes that she wants to be more than that with the cellist.

At first, you thought this whole idea would be absolutely ridiculous. Why should you, one of the most popular DJs this side of Equestria, go to a classical music concert? It would totally be a waste of your time, because it's just not your speed! You're used to dropping the heaviest beats, not watching somepony drag strings across strings.

Until you listen to her play for the first time.

It started off as enjoying a night at a classical concert, then one trip to the bar and a few drinks later, and one pony finds himself sharing the bed of one musically talented mare. What begins as an awkward meeting turns into a sharing of music and finding of each other.

You are a quiet and introverted musician. You dislike showing off your talent (for music or magic) but the opportunity of a lifetime arises, and going against your character, you accept. But when a certain grey mare enters the picture, you realize that you've gotten into more than you bargained for.

After almost a month, your duet with Octavia still ends with a train wreck. The grey earth pony suggests that you go over to her house for extra practice. As you meet her at her house, something seems...odd about her, but you can't figure it out. [Tender]

Celestia's personal assistant, Pinwheel, wishes she could find a way to get the Princess to relax at the end of a stressful day. She's even found the perfect pony to help. Help Celestia, that is. Because it doesn't seem to help Pinwheel at all.

[2nd Person Perspective]

Working as a waiter at Canterlot's various social gatherings is a nice job. Especially since you began chatting with the cello player of the usual quartet, Octavia. You've gotten to know a lot about her, but one night there seems to be something on her mind. You offer her a drink to ease her nerves and you bring your glasses together in cheers.

Next thing you know, you wake up in a strange hotel room in a town you've never been to next to a certain gray mare.
