It makes me wonder what truly led to this. Perhaps Octavia just couldn't connect to ponies emotionally so she formed a connection with an inanimate object. There was a story about a woman who married a wall but cheated on it with a fence, I found myself curious as to what made her give her heart to something that couldn't feel love, or was even alive.
