With Equestria's magic back where it belongs, Twilight's school continues with its lessons into the Magic of Friendship. With classes finished for the day, however, Twilight decides it's time she finally investigated the chambers beneath the school. There she will have the chance to talk with a being she'd only dreamed of getting the chance to talk to:

The Tree of Harmony.

Applejack's tour of duty didn't work out like she expected; maybe if she'd been able to keep her dang mouth shut... oh, well. She hadn't decided if she really wanted to make a career out of the military, but her superiors made it pretty doggone clear they didn't care for the idea, so that was that. But everytime Harmony closes a door, it opens a window. And maybe she's been sent exactly where she's always needed to be.

However cat-infested it was at the moment.

During a routine visit to Equestria to see Princess Twilight, Sunset decides to bring her pet Ray along with her. Only... she wasn't quite expecting what he would turn into on the other side of the portal...

"'Colts will be Colts' is not a sentiment that applies here at my Friendship School!

Times have changed. Kids or not, everyone, students of friendship included, have to answer for these sorts of disrespectful displays. Now, all of you, down to Counselor Glimmer's office, immediately! I'm going to have a long chat with her about what to do with you all!"

A human is transported to Equestria!

They immediately lock themselves in a room and refuse to come out.

Twilight Sparkle, though aware that her life would undoubtedly have unexpected turns, never once imagined something like this. A dream, or perhaps, something more than that. Visions of another mare, so very much like her, who wishes to speak with her. A mare who looks to this young earth pony, and sees potential. And perhaps, just maybe, a chance to learn of her life, and impart a little bit of wisdom here and there.

Written originally for the Anon in Pone Prison threads on /mlp/, which is where the OC Cookies 'n Cream (Pictured) comes from.

Meet Pip. He is the smallest pony in class, and has the nickname Squirt. He thinks he will never amount to anything in his life.

But he is about to meet a very special pony. She is a hero, she runs the weather single hooved, and she has a novel all about her adventure.

And she is the perfect one to perhaps teach Pip a lesson we all sometimes need to learn.
