Soarin and Rainbow Dash get some much needed time alone after a tiring training camp with the Wonderbolts.

Vinyl and Octavia have moved into their apartment and have their first day of college ahead of them. Except it’s online, and Vinyl is taking full advantage of it. Octavia is uncooperative with the shenanigans that occur from Vinyl.

Octavia breaks her arm and Vinyl sees how she can make the situation better.

On her way to Canterlot High for her music club, Octavia meets Vinyl Scratch and is annoyed by the music blasting from her headphones. After getting yelled at, Vinyl responds by making odd gestures with her hands. It turns out, Vinyl Scratch is deaf, and she feels music instead of listening to it. Feeling ashamed, Octavia wishes to make it up to her, but is surprised by Vinyl's request.
