A scheme for monetizing fanfiction website · 9:35pm May 12th, 2018
You want to read stories and you want to read good stories right?
Look at patreon. They harvest lots of small amounts of money and gives it to creators. It makes money by taking a percentage.
Fanfic is slightly different because it has a glut of creators. You cannot support all of them. In fact don't want to support most of them.
I might have a new idea for you, if it's alright for me to send it, unless you're done with fic writing in general.
Thanks for faving Unlike Any Other!

Yeah, I did. The Fitting is about unhealthy sexual relationships and how people build grandiose altars of self loathing.
Placing the enabler in the position of victim and the self-destructive in the position of villain for the purposes of a neat and tidy happy ending is fundamentally contrary to the point.
Imposing a resolution from outside is likewise cheap.
The only proper conclusion is a break-up. The kind of break-up that has lots of screaming, thrown objects, assault and threatens to spiral into a murder.
Now I have been careful to never care enough about any of my relationships to the point where that level of spite is appropriate. Without that experience I do not think that I can write that kind of scene properly. I am certain however, that I do not wish to.
Did you ever get my last PM?
