This story is based in the world of David Silver's Ponyfinder RPG books. Specifically the upcoming campaign setting From the Ashes, available now for pre-order!

Also this is a sequel/prequel to my previous story Bits of Ash. Although, being a prequel, although reading that is in no way necessary to enjoy this story. Has many funs!

Friendship... Friendship never changes. In the war ravaged future of Everglow, ponies have all but destroyed the planet in a mad, genocidal drive to re-establish their once great empire. Two unlikely companions struggle to find place to belong in this burned out, hellish ash-scape. Of course Discord thinks this would be a great place to take the students on a field trip. So he loads the student six on his magic school-bus and takes them on a site seeing adventure across the ashen wastes.

This story is a sequel to Soul Reclamation Society

The Soul Reclamation Society exists within the shadows of pony society. It's seemingly noble goal: to fill the holes left by ponies who have departed before their time. But there are many dark secrets in both their methods and motivations, and their founder, Dr. Fetlock, is still haunted by the shadow of the monster she unleashed on Equestria in her hubris.

(note: Reading David's "Soul Reclamation Society" is pretty much necessary. I mean, you ain't gotta, but you may be pretty lost if ya don't)

As the Mane Six are only just becoming aware of the presence of Nightmare Moon, other parts of Equestria do not rest well that faithful night. Let's take a look at the struggles of the ponies of Fillydelphia as they are plunged into a conflict they are ill-prepared for to prevent other forces of the night from rushing to join their lost queen.

Permission was sorta obtained from David Silver to produce this fictional abomination. Sort of in that he kinda rolled his eyes, but didn't tell me not to write it...
