Good. We can put away the pitchforks and torches... for now.
More cryptic shit, though. Wrabbit, after 23 chapters of light hints and vagueness, it's really wearing thin, man.
I hate promises made in desperation. They never work out well. Never. Twi, Spitfire, Sal, or possibly all three are going to live to regret it.
Edit: Spike might also wish Twi hadn't been so hasty in her promise either.
@A/N:
You realize you're insinuating a kind of " troll" arms race don't you? The more you troll you're readers the more they want to grab their torches and pitchforks. I'm going to keep an eye on these comments with some popcorn handy.
Great!
man, Game of Thrones has less backstabbing than this. and why do i have the feeling that Twilight IS going to object to whatever Sal asks her for?
Trolly cliffhangers are best cliffhangers.
I know I don't comment on this very often, but, I love this story. Once I find a computer to actually type on, instead of my phone, I can start throwing random foal names about again.
Silly wabbit, trollhangers are best cliffhangers.
All I can think of it Top Gun cuz of that title. I wonder what the backlash is gonna be from Bit's plan?
Aaaaaand, then that happened.
Well.
Only thing to do is wait.
You beautiful bastard, I cannot wait for more of this!!! The anticipation is murderous!
3019564
Um... No. It has been implied for quite some time with many MANY hints that there will be Twilicorn. With good, solid reasons as the only logical outcome... so absolutely nothing like the Season 3 Finale.
3019602 Gelding... gelding will be the backlash... maybe anal storage of the removed material.
3019372
It's hard to let go of the information, man. I'm used to leading my D'n'D group on for months of gaming sessions (and those tend to run on for over 6 hours or so), and it's become habit. The reveal is coming, I just need to get through this bit right now with Spitfire and it'll come more to the fore. While the characters may not know the whole deal, I'm thinking of just letting the audience know for the sake of dropping that other shoe.
3019487
Now what makes you think that Spike is at the center of that promise, eh? //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/Spike_lolface.png
I'll try to keep the arms race to under nukes.
3019539 3020119
Thank you kindly.
3019564
Is... that good or bad?
3019582
Good thing I don't watch that show, then.
3019583
Great. Now I have an image of a troll hanging from a cliff stuck in my head.
3019602
I could think of worse songs to get stuck in one's head.
3019769
Stuff happens.
3020374
It makes me so happy to hear that my writing actually exceeds that of the show. Granted, we are talking about the most poorly written episode of the series, but still.
Ooooooooo boy, you pretty lucky you done decided to heal Spitfire up quick. I was about to kick yo ass if you made her suffer more
You're in the DANGER ZONE!
We have turned on our blinkers and are signaling our intent to merge onto the highway to the danger zone.
Grrrrr, so many teases! Our D&D group has a "bullshit" sign we get to hold up whenever our DM starts abusing their power and I find myself desiring it right now. I know you're loving stringing us all along, but it's starting to affect the story's ability to progress.
Other than that, awesome chapter, but c'mon... plot torque?
Don't die to the pitchforks and torches before you finish the next chapter okay.
Backtalk is clearly a seasoned killer. Even if Golden Bit has never used his skills in this particular fashion before its clear he knew he had a monster on his payroll. While this particular gambit reeks of Golden Bit's desperation as his world comes crashing down around his ears it does raise the question as to what purpose he hired said monster for in the first place back when he was more rational.
3019582
If this was as backstabing as GoT, Twili would have been kill/betraied by Celestia, and/or, other Mane6 in The Teacher, the Sorceress, and the Wonderbolt and replaced with one of her lovers out for revange.
Oh thanks goodness, I was a bit afraid there for a moment in the middle you had decided to troll us by killing Twilight instead, what with the whole "Her soul being taken out" thing, then I was afraid some magical BS was gonna hurt her baby's soul and then either Luna or Cadance were gonna have to share their soul with it so it could become a quasi-alicorn futa super baby...
... man Spitfire's baby saved her before she was even born..... she's pretty much guaranteed whatever she wants for Hearth's Warming Eve for the rest of her life.... poor Trixie's baby being so normal.
You sure you want to use that term? Minotaurs are a thing, you know.
Wow. Someone needs to explain to GB that killing the hired help is a really bad for getting MORE hired help. I am not really mourning over Scaryx, but that was pretty shitty, especially since Backtalk is gonna murder the murderers now.
tl;dr: Fuck Golden Bit.
(This coming from the guy who kills the guy who hired the Dark Brotherhood to kill the Emperor in Skyrim. Though in fairness, it's kinda hard to NOT fulfill the Emperor's last request.)
Well, there are also private contractors. Sure they go to the highest bidder, but once they start a contract, they see it through.
Celestia be piiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed.
Thank GOD about Spits. My heart was beating furiously during that segment. At least, as far as desperation promises go, Sal seems pretty trustworthy. Maybe the promise will be to nuke GB till he glows?
Bolt of force eh?
images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120727163729/questforglory/images/7/72/Force_bolt.jpg
(inb4 you have NO idea what I am talking about. )
Awwww shit, this can't be good
Anywhorse, loved the new chapter, can't wait for more!
3020584
*whistles and holds up cake* Heeee~re Trollestia!!!!
Why do I think Spike might regret Twi's promise? If you follow the cannon of the show up to the S3 premiere then you'd know that spike has Seperation issues and worries that Twi might send him away.
Now suppose Sal wanted to take Spike to live with her for a long time (say a year or more). I suspect Spike would freak.
And How in the name of Celestia would Sal know what Twi would and wouldn't object to?
Also, your Dropbox image links no workie for me.
3020910
Don't give Wrabbit any ideas
3020584
Great, now I have an image in my head of a troll hanging from a cliff with Pinkamena Pie standing over said troll with a jar full of honey and one with fire ants.
I also imagine the following text would be high-larious, 'Want to play a Party game?'
Spitfire seems saved, so I'll spare you the assasination mob!
Still, this gives us more questions then answers, yet again! I love it, but at the same time I want answers!
3021797
Eh if he doesn´t want to rewrite nearly all 3 stories the idea is out of question.
And he´s not so predictable to pull that now that I throw it at him or is he?
-crying internally-
Life?, having one of those can get you killed.
I loved it!
please keep up the good work
i wouldn't call MMC the worst written. poorly paced? yes. rushed? yes. a little confusing? sure. but as for worst written? i'd have to go with Mare Do Well or either of the two Spike episodes we got in season three. neither of those showcased the better aspects of Spike's character. in fact, Spike at Your Service portrayed him as an absentminded, incompetent oaf. seeing as how in several other episodes Spike was depicted as being level-headed, witty, and helpful, a valid argument could be made that it's a 22 minute plot hole.
I was RIGHT!! But im very sad because we don't get to see twilight rage.
Hmmmmm... I'm happy, but also kinda scared
Well the Storm is over thanks for your hospitality in your bunker Wrabbit I was worried we would have a Twilightpocolyspe I like what you did there and I can't wait for the next one I WANT MOAR SOON! If that is alright with you
3020639
Heh heh.
3020721
Chapter finished. Like me now?
3020859
Some people take the "desperate times call for desperate measures" thing too seriously.
3020910
Man, it sounds like Knotts Landing, but with dragons. Glad I don't watch it now.
3021191
Trixie's baby has an advantage over the others in her eyes. It's totally hers and Twilight's.
3021466
I'm on the fence with this. I might change it later.
3021484
Is that a magic card, or something?
3021576 3023963
Thank you kindly.
3021797
My dropbox images don't work for me, either. Doesn't stop me from using them, though. //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Lyra_dealwithit.png
3021882
To which he replies, "Mario Party?"
3021883
Then have some answers with the next chapter.
3022258
Well, twilicorn as seen in the show is pretty much a non-issue in this continuity.
3022703
There, there. ::pats back::
3022846
That's why I keep spares.
3025075
Enh. Mare Do-Well didn't suffer from the problems MMC did. And by the time it came around, Dash had long since been cemented in dead last place for me in the pony contest. Heck, I like even Discord better, and he's only like 1/8 pony. MMC was disjointed, rushed, overstuffed with plot (and not the good kind), and suffered from a distinct case of editorial mandate (as it's called in the comic book industry). Not to mention the hideous dresses they wore. Seriously, they looked half finished. Even the dress Rarity made Twilight in Sweet and Elite looked more complete. I stand by my statement.
3025660
Twilight rage is something to be used very sparingly. Too much will wipe out all life on the planet.
3028148
Be afraid... be very afraid!
3029419
You're welcome.
3030428
I appreciate your consideration.
Well look at that... shit has hit the fan. And you may have saved yourself from eternal damnation by helping Spitfire. But I actually do agree with thinking that you should have drawn out Spitfire's condition. I like vivid descriptions so that I can paint a picture in my mind, descriptions that I found lacking a bit in describing Spitfire's injuries, both at the end of the battle and when Twi got to speak with her.

Commence read.
That was an interesting journey.
